Connection/Server Issues
I dont ever post on forums but, apparently bungie has actually been reading what we say and how we feel about the game. If this is true then they really need to get on top of this issue. I have heard several (a few dozen or so) of complaints about getting different connection drops and server issues. One of my favorite is the NAT type. Bungie is apparently claiming you need to change to a open NAT.... I will have to say NO. Im not leaving my stuff open for the world to see and get there hands on. This game has its flaws and just like every new MMO that comes out, it takes time to fix it and add things to make the experience better. Bungie has promised all of us the best gaming experience, A.K.A Destiny. This game has had so much hype i knew everyone was going to be disappointed. I personally absolutely love the game, it need a lot more content to start off with but overall it is fun. With that being said, just because the game is fun does not mean we all enjoy it. There are a few things that need to be addressed before other small issues. For instance, the cave you can farm. Your worried about fixing this but really thats a small issue compared to this connection issue. The connection issue is upsetting a TON of people, the cave....what is that really hurting? Thats making people happy, its there "magic medicine" for the connection drop rage. Any who, you play for a 30 mins, a hour, maybe 8 hours and your just about to finish a strike and get that loot, that bungie has hyped up, and what happens? A connection error. While you might still get your loot (sometimes) its still ruining the enjoyment of the game. I can probably name good 15-20 times that i have been running a daily by myself on lvl 28 difficulty and get 80% of the way through it then drop connection. This has GOT to be fixed. Its really going to start upsetting people when all the other raids start getting released and people are getting dropped in mid boss battle or right at the end and not getting their loot. I can personally say that, the day that hapoens to me i will definitely have to put the controller down, call bungie, ask "why" then just hang up before i rage on a innocent customer service rep.
I could, WE ALL COULD, go on and on about how annoying this issue is. So, bungie, if you are listening, listen to all of your loving and caring fans. PLEASE FIX THIS SO WE CAN PLAY.
For all the loot loving, grind craving, and OP starving gamers out there.

When they talk about having an "open" NAT. They are talking about how the actual functionality of your connection is working. Now I am NOT saying they are right. But if you look in your network settings on the Xbox itself it will say "Open, Moderate etc..". In fact I know they are wrong. They have given me the same error message and my settings state that I have an Open NAT. That is because I have 65Mb download and 15Mb upload. More than fast enough. It is their server issues that are the problem. But an Open NAT does not mean lowering your internet security. It is strictly optimizing your setup for the game. Which still doesn't need to be done because the issue is on their end.

I played the first week on my warlock and had no problems. I made a titan Friday to start leveling and I can't get anything done all of a sudden. Every time I near completion of a mission to unlock further missions I get disconnected and can't connect to destiny servers. Everything else is running perfectly fine, Destiny is the only thing having an issue all of a sudden. I was soloing the daily heroic on my warlock and got to the final room just to get kicked from servers. And no Bungie, I am not opening up my ports to satisfy your problem. Fix this instead of worrying about handing out emblems to people who can beat your premade fire team without being able to communicate to each other.

1 ReplyI guess we can all try to think positive and see the "light" and continue "traveling" to find a beaver, bee, centipede, ect.... Sorry, just had to attempt it. May have failed but what do expect from a man gone mad from living with all the wildlife from destiny.

yeah this is getting ridiculous love this game but getting really pissed get to about the same point in a mission then it kicks me out.

1 ReplyThe only thing that is truely upsetting MW about people on the forums right now is there lack of respect towards the people up there. We can all be adults and express our feeling without dropping the F bomb on bungie. If anyone has played DC universe then they (myself included) understand the connection issues. For the longest time DC was know as "Disconnect". If you enjoy the game, stick through with it. It will be fixed and the game will thrive. Don't take it back or delete it. Because there will Be the day they fix these issues then youll have to wait for the download or spend that money again. Then you'll just be mad at yourself. Cursing the PlayStation "DOWNLOAD FASSSSSTTTTEEERRRR!!!!" lol

6 Repliessince yesterday ive been trying all the different fixes they have and over the past 15-20 hours ive disconnected over 80 times just trying to figure out whats wrong. with the amount of friends having the exact same issue thus ive come to the conclusion its on bungies end. ive read hundreds upon hundreds of posts on the forums about this and still cant find a fix or even a comment about it from bungie. i wouldn't get your hopes up on it being fixed anytime even remotely soon they have their money.

I just confirmed the problem with Destiny error codes and down servers is not anyone's network configuration or equipment. Its the Destiny game itself. Im on XBOX1, at Level 10, at Sky watch, Recover Ghosts, OPEN NAT, hard wired connection. After you have gone through most and end up right before heading outdoors, you find "King". You can kill all bad guys you want, but take one shot at "King" and your booted from the servers. As an experience I got to that point, kill everyone without taking a shot at King and I sat and waited. I stood up, killed a few more, then took one shot at King and instantly booted from the server. I repeated this four times, expanding my wait time longer each time. Bungie has a coding problem and a lot of explaining to everyone that purchased the game.

I haven't really had any issues until the last hour. Suddenly I'm constantly removed from game worlds no matter what I do every 5 minutes or so. Given the amount of time I've put in so far, this more disconnects in the last hour than all previous time combined seems weird, and as far as I can tell my own connection is just fine. Also I don't even know where to post something like this. What tag would be good, and why not just have normal forums?

Was fine all last week and all the sudden it sucks. Quit playing the blame game Bungie, own up to it and freakin fix it. We shouldn't have to run around changing our ISP when it works fine for every other game on xbox live except yours. Fix it.
