I farm there for upgrade parts, purple engrams are more likely to end up as blue or green items,so I don't count on it. Plus its a nice easy way to complete a few different bounties. Not to mention the fact that it's a nice spot to tag the Public Event. Oh and lets not overlook the fact that it's a nice relaxing place to go after dealing with some of the boss fights that can at times be frustrating *cough*Phogoth Nightfall Strike*cough. Is it me or is the Risk Vs. Reward mechanic skewed a little? Guess it depends on how you do things...

First off let me introduce myself - my name is Lord Vo1demort (not my real name). I have been gaming now on and off for over 15 years of my life. The first thing i want to say is WELL DONE BUNGIE. Thank you for making this game. Thank you for the thousands of man hours you guys have put into this - i appreciate it. I didnt think a console game could ever captivate me as much as a PC game but it has. Sure, its not perfect - heck, nothing is. Its not a MMORPG, its not a shooter. Its a bit of both, combining the best bits of Halo (you guys won me over on Halo1) and games such as WoW. It strikes a perfect balance in my eyes. For me and my gaming needs. Sure people are saying it needs to be one or the other but you cant have your cake and eat it. My wife is has a stunning body, lovely blue eyes, a gorgeous smile, but she cant cook for toffee. You cant have everything all of the time. I have been playing this game for nigh on 30 hours (that i have counted) and cant stop. It has that 'just one more strike' and the 'il log off AFTER ive visited the tower to see what is new' thing going for it. I love it. so Thank You Bungie. you have a fanboy for life. Isnt life funny? Myself i have a great job. I goto work everyday, see lots of different people, have different things to do each day too. My work keeps me occupied and keeps my brain active. Im working through this thing called life and i am happy. I am doing it my way. My job, my wife, my 2 lovely kids keep me happy. Its my choice. I play this game of life how i want to play it. I have a friend who is a shelf stacker at the local supermarket. He grinds his job everyday. Stacks shelves over and over again. All day, everyday the same. Is he happy? Absolutey. Why? Because thats what he wants to do. He gets paid, drives a car, has fun. Thats his life and he plays it as HE wants to. Why am i telling you this? People spend far too much time on here moaning about how people are playing games, how they are not playing it the 'correct' way. People are farming... exploiting etc. My message to those people - deal with it. I farm. i cave farm alot. Why? cause i want to. Its MY game. i will play it HOW I WANT TO. Do i get satisfaction out of playing it this way? Yes i do. does it affect YOU how I PLAY? No. Why? Because you dont know me and my actions are not directly affecting you. Do i care how anyone plays this game? No. why? as above - it doesnt affect me and its non of my business. My next door neighbour has satellite TV and was watching the football last night. When i watch football i have a can of coke, some crisps and relax on the sofa. My neighbour was drinking wine with his friends. I wouldnt watch football with friends but THATS MY CHOICE. Do i complain that he 'watches it wrong'? No. Why? Because its HIS way. We as a human race always want something for nothing. We play the lottery so we can win lots of money. We enter competitions that mean we can get ahead this 'life' game without much effort. This is not much different to what we do in games. So please - be aware that how people play games is up to them. Its their choice. Its my choice how i play. Its your choice how you play. If the way i play is 'spoiling' it for you then i suggest you look at your own attitude and work out why someone else is affecting you that much. Lord Vo1demort.

Here are the reasons against farming I see the most on these forums. Risk should equal reward: Go see how much damage you do to a level 20 acolyte and compare it to the lower level ones. They'll go down the same as long as your over level 20. It's an exploit: I've played enough MMOs to know what an exploit is. For example: When DCUO first came out, if you had flight and brawling equipped, then you could just stay in flight and tap square to where it wouldn't do a combo, but just the regular quick hits would do 3x the normal amount. Or the money transfer glitch to where if you sent anything over 2 billion in the mail it would just give you money, you could have hundreds of trillions with in an hour. Both of those examples had me manipulate the game in order to get results. What people are doing with this cave is clearing the field of hive so they'll respawn. I'll admit this farming location is really easy to farm, but that's all it is. They're missing out on how the game's supposed to be played: Let's face it, the game is a couple days of story missions and then the same end game stuff over and over again. Chances are they're already level 20+, so they've done a good portion of the game. Doing this farm isn't going to make them miss out on anything. They'll have to do every mission eventually through the daily and every strike through the weekly if they want their respective rewards. Disagree with the farm if you want, but know what your disagreeing with.
