Should you be penalized for quitting a strike?

Last night I I had to restart a strike mission several times because my teammates kept quitting, leaving me to fend for myself. I am currently at level 15, so going solo was not a feasible option. This pisses me off and there should be measures taken to prevent such dickery. That's why I think players should be fined 1500 glimmer points every time they quit a strike and abandon their teammates. If they run out of glimmer, then they will receive experience penalties and be de-leveled. I think this would very quickly put a stop to abandonment. Now, I know what you are going to say: "But then people will just go idle!" Then they will be kicked for inactivity and the penalty will still be issued. What do you guys think?

  • what if someone has to go and leave for something important, hmmm? ever thought of that? what if someone in there family died and they had to leave to go and be with their family? there are many reasons for leaving and sometimes its just a jerk move but there are thing that are important that could have happened.
