So when did the rarest items in a game become obtainable from a vendor? I've already got 23 coins for spending at the agent of the nine. Granted I am excited to be able to buy an exotic item, it seems to make the sentimental value nonexistent. In wow the only current legendary item obtainable takes almost a month of grinding(sometimes less if you play day and night). Not a single legendary item is purchasable from any venders in diablo 3. And, in order to get the good legendaries you must grind for at least a few weeks. When I say grind in terms of diablo, I mean running rifts back to back all day long for three to four weeks on end. So, why is it that a week has gone by and while playing last weekend I ran into multiple people who already had all legendary gear and two exotics? What makes it worse is that there is not really any dynamic range of stats on the gear in Destiny. It's almost all the same. I love the game so far and hope for the best in its future, but come on Bungie... Purchasable exotics? Nice way to destroy that special feeling that comes with obtaining the rarest items in a game. Edit: I should mention that I've earned all the gear I have and I currently have two leveled characters. I am almost vanguard rank 2 and can't wait to buy those items. I love destiny I just think its going to lose its luster if it stays this way with exotics.
