Possible solution to the voice chat problem.

If Bungie is so set on keeping local voice chat or proximity voice chat from causing grief due to trolling or misconduct, a simple bulletin board or LFP (looking for party) list would help introduce a new way to always establish multiplayer interaction without having to force your friends to buy and play the game. A player should be able to go to the tower and request assistance for a specific mission, strike, etc. and other players in the tower should be able to accept the request if they want to. This LFP system should be able to put restrictions on level and other things like that. I think with a system like this, Bungie can continue to limit the use of voice chat among strangers, and still enable a great way to quickly find a group to play with. Many MMO's use this LFP system and it helps build parties, guilds, clans, etc.

  • Agreed... Bungie HAS to be aware of this issue being one of the biggest things keeping this good game from being great... I know that there is nothing that they can do now to fix the weak story that they gave us, but I can look past that IF they hear our complaints about matchmaking and actually do something about it...
