Hunters' super isn't overpowered. Here's why.

As per usual, we're all seeing a lot of ranting and complaining about the Hunter and the super ability either with the Gunslinger or Bladedancer subclasses. Too many feel it is overpowered and unfair. Here is my take on why it is not. When a Hunter does a super, he/she has to do the following: - Enable it within the right timing to engage others. Too soon, and it wears off before you get a shot off or a melee attack in. - Have good aim to not waste a shot if using the Gunslinger subclass. - Survive attack shots and melee hits while doing the above. - If killed while super is enabled, it is gone on re-spawn. When a Titan or Warlock does a super, he/she does the following: - Press two buttons when close to one or more enemies - If hit successful, walk/run away and continue on. If missed, fight or die. - If killed while the Titan or Warlock is about to land a super, the super is considered inactive, and is there on re-spawn. Another way to look at the situation: When a Titan/Warlock does a super, you're probably dead. If a Hunter enables the super, you at least have a change of fight or flight. Now please, discontinue the posts about Hunters being overpowered. Just learn how to handle the situation, or, let it happen and continue on. Cheers.

  • I would have to say that hunter supers are more powerful for pvp. Are they op? Probably not any more op than a Titan bubble in pve. The trade off is that they are pretty awful in pve. Seems fair to me.

      • Blade dancer lasts like 10 seconds 15 with the helmet Lol plus you get an agility boost and you get 50% damage reduction so killing is almost impossible if stacked with hungering blade and blink

                Not op? It's not like they can 1-2 shot enimes (maybe three if max armor ram warlock in an armor of light bubble) Get healed on a kill or keep the super for a million years if they have the other one on (forgot what it's called) Can pretty much fly with there super Have an armor multiplier Teleport with there super active

                  • They do realize hunter can be killed off starting super really fast I mean is not like we have exotics that make us invincible when doing supers *cough Titans cough* or a helmet that gives you amazing armor or self res hunters have to use their supers at an exact moment to do well with one

                    • I call this the game of numbers; stop me if you heard this one: A great portion of the pvp comunity quickly adheres to trends and patterns that seemingly gives the average player an advantage over the opponent. Another portion falls in line with the former if said trend proves too overpowering, while a fraction tries to compete with less common ways. Now the current pvp meta support this by listing the following weapons as the most commonly used to kill: Thorn TLW Red death Party crasher, FWL, Matador It also lists the following: Most kills with specials: Hunter Most kills with grenades: warlock Most melee kills: Hunter/Warlock (Sorry titans, time has seen the dweendeling of your class users) See the pattern? Hunters are the most used class followed, by warlocks and if we know one thing is players tend to use what is easier to kill with while in competition play. (And please don't act like preemptively activating your super is a disadvantage in such small maps. . . And if you are missing golden gun shots, stop aimimg, it's what I do and it works like a charm.)

                        Yes it is. Didn't even need to read this to know its bs, how do I know? 15,000+ kills on each class in pvp.

                          • It travels to much ground for what it should be. People literally slash jump across the map. Slash kill slash slash other side of the map kill slash slash back on other side of map again kill. I would be more okay with the super killing me if a person didn't jump suddenly from the back of Zone A to my throat at the back of Zone B with me only doing slight damage to them as well. Sure Titans it's a one and done, but you have to go face first into fire to even use it. By the time you can activate the whole team is focus firing you or spread out farther then roaches in a lightened room.

                          • Honestly here's the way I see it. Gunslinger is perfectly balanced with the super. Avoiding it is fairly easy and with no overshields you can thorn him down before he sees you. HOWEVER Arc blade SUCKS MAJOR ASS SERIOUSLY?!?!? ONE SHOTGUN BLAST SHOULD NOT KILL THEM I find that if an arc blade is coming towards me I aim my shotgun to their head and [i][b]BOOM[/b][/i] theyre dead... Like come on. Even if you don't crit them you can melee to kill them. Honestly blade dancer needs a shields buff or at least make it so that if I stab an enemy and even HEAR THE NOISE OF SLICING SOMEONE IT SHOULD DEAL DAMAGE

                          • Hunter supers offer more map control than any other super. That's why they have an edge in PvP over other supers. Besides you don't have enough crucible experience to even have a opinion worth respecting.

                            • Do people really complain about blade dancer ? Honestly ? There's nothing op about them there armor increase is nothing to complain about one head shot with any primary. Let's be honest the majority of you use handcannons be it exotic or legendary but anyway one head shot from one of those and one shotgun because again the majority of pvp is shotgun and I'm dead. Even without a handcannon head shot if your shotgun head shots I'm dead even if I'm at full health. The reason people get wrecked by blade dancer is because there first response is to run instead of staying absolutely still and wrecking the bladedancer.

                            • I don't have an issue with gunslinger. My issue is blade dancer. It's the combination of being able to spam melee like crazy, damage reduction done to them, an extra shield on top of that, and super kills regen health. All of that combined is annoying as hell

                              • Not op but certainly have a advantage. Point is warlock and titans have to commit to there super. They have to use it all at once. We can't just activate it and run around killing everyone. If someone kills someone you were gonna super no problem move to a different area and get someone else. Only thing even close is my warlock with radiant skin. Difference is i have to either spam grenades that all take 2 to kill or be close enough to melee and even then only one is similar to a shotgun. Fact is you can't run around and one shot everything in a warlock sun singer super. That's why they do have a advantage. No commitment to using it all at once. And it's all one hit kill. Certainly not overpowered tho. I'll agree with you there.
