From Reddit: 100% Legendary items, no Farming req.
Thought about taking this guys advise, because it appears the drop rate at the "farming" sites were reduced with the latest patch. I also had no idea about the "material turn in" at the Vanguard/Crucible/Factions reps.

I hit the marks cap at the perfect time....sometime yesterday, hours before the weekly reset. I am now Vanguard and Crucible rank 2. Working on 3 this week. After, I plan to switch to Dead Orbit for a few ranks. I'm now rocking the Exotic helm (looks way cooler in game), and all legendary gear. One legendary Rocket Launcher. Not my dream set, but I'm not going to be picky :) I wanna tackle Glass, and the Nightfall Strike this week. I also was lucky (unlucky?) enough to get two legendary items for the Warlock class. So, If I hit the cap early with my Titan, Im switching to Warlock to get him to lvl 20. Take a look at my gear...and share yours!

Just hit Crucible Rank 3 got an Legendary Crucible pack from the post dude and got 2 rare items under lvl 20 for it. Still all RNG except for buying from the vendor.

8 RepliesGreat info, bud! This is what I personally started doing. I have 15 coins and 25 motes. Also, im rank 2 with dead orbit and have 130 crucible marks. I'm trying to get rank 2 with vanguard by this weekend so when Xur rolls around, ill be in full legendary/exotic armor and hopefully an exotic weapon!

1 ReplyWhat's the quality of gear you can buy compared to the gear you can find? I have a friend with a Legendary chest that can be upgraded to 415 defense. Certainly that's not something you can just buy, I'm pretty sure if found it while doing a Strike.
