farming for hawkmoon
What is the best way to farm for the hawkmoon? Keep playing the dust palace on it's original level difficulty (level 18) or hope to find it on the level 24 vanguard playlist?

Sorry to disagree with all your "cant farm it" statements, but I got hawkmoon from a purple engram that dropped while repeating the fist of crota mission on earth (completing eris bounties). Nearly fell off my seat ffs!

My brother got it from the nightfall last night. You can't 'farm' for it though - want it by all means, but in the full knowledge that you are surrendering to the cold embrace of RNG.

If you are done with the nightfall and raids the roc playlist probably gives you the best chance.

Farming exotics in this game does not exist

It seems to drop more in the roc strikes...I've had 2 drop so far...one way back in November (dust palace...sharded...yes I was an idiot..wasn't into hand cannons)....and the other in January (phogoth)...but I've seen many drop (10+) while playing the roc strikes

1 ReplyBest chances to get an exotic are from the following activities: 1. Nightfall x 3 2. Vog chest x3 3. Vog atheon x 3 4. Ce ir yut x3 5. Ce crota x3 Decrypting legendary primary wep engrams that you can get via cryptarch pkgs by lvling him up may also reward you with hawkmoon. Good luck with your search.
