Solved: Destiny throws connection errors every 5 to 10 minutes

Original issue: D/C by caterpillar, hawk, eel, and get dropped from xbox live every 5 to 10 minutes. Adjusted the original post to make it more read friendly What has been done so far: Xbox360 has fixed IP Google DNS Connected Xbox directly to modem/router with LAN cable LAN cable is tested and is working correctly Portforwarding has been set. Porttriggering has been set. uPNP is enabled Put xbox360 in DMZ (test did not work) Modem/Router has been set to factory default. Disabled firewall. (test did not work) Time set properly on modem/router. Cleared Xbox360 cache several times. Rebooted modem/router several times. 22-09-2014: Modem back to default mode. Tried it without any settings and xbox on DHCP mode. 60 minutes playtime Put fixed ip on xbox, put it in DMZ mode, 60 minutes playtime first time and 30 minutes after each modem reboot 23-09-2014 Called ISP to reset the modem to factory defaults. If I disconnect again, I will ask them to analyse my cabelline and modem to see if there is anything wrong with it. But as far as I can test it, there is nothing wrong with the line, it is stable and working as it should. But got to try everything right? Called ISP, nothing wrong no drops in connection speed. Formatted the Xbox reinstalled the game DId not work. All other devices are not connected while playing Destiny. If I rebooted the modem after an error, errors have decreased, but still they are showing up every 30~90 minutes. But if I dare to start Destiny after an error message, well Destiny starts to throw me out every -blam!-ing 5 minutes. Update 28-09-2014 I am so tired of the disconnect errors. That I have decided to give up for now. Even the clear cache and reboot option, does not work anymore.. Update 03-10-2014 Bought an new router: Asus RT-N66U Let my ISP put the modem into bridge mode. Was able to play almost an hour without disconnection errors. Then I logged out to do something else.

  • Well yesterday I resetted my router, directly linked my Xbox to my modem without an switch and tested the connection. Ofcourse nat errors because of firewall blockage. Loaded in the portforwarding file and tested again the connection. Then I pressed Y after the connection test (which indicated I was connected). and then I saw this beauty of an error pop-up.(see screenshot). All this time, the standard firewall rules are loaded in, which only allows 2 ports to be forwarded from Xbox live (and some other default ports). It seems my modem does not want to connect fully with Xbox live. Even if the firewall logs tell me there is nothing being blocked.... I couldn't get that issue resolved in the first time, so I ignored the error and tried to play on the moon (patrol), and got an d/c every 5 minutes (xbox live, catarpillar, hawk etc). Playing on the earth (also patrol), did not give any issues for 1 hours and 15 minutes. Then went to the tower and then back to earth, but then I got an d/c After that I tried several hours to get this issue sorted. I resetted the DHCP IP range and adjusting the IP of my xbox and portforwarding. But now my wonderfull ubee evw321b modem is like Gandalf: YOU SHALL NOT PASS!! Tonight I going to start all over again with my wonderfull modem, to see if I can get it fixed
