My typical experience in the Summoning Pits
My brothers were discussing Dust Bowl* was the hardest. I personally disagree, lol.

There is a spot on the Summoning Pits where you are pretty much safe from all the bad guys (minus the Ogre). Also, in the Old Earth Strike, there is a place you can go where you can't get hurt (much) by the eye. Both I have beaten on 24 and 28 by myself.
