Dear Bungie, I am a gamer. I am a person who buys video games not just for the way they look or the amount of bragging rights I get in a deathmatch; no, I buy video games because they are fun. Recently, video games have seemed to become more of a business than a hobbie, and it's somewhat discouraging, but you have--and still are--making history right now. Bungie has created a product that not only has set a new precedent in the video game industry, but they have completely revolutionized console gaming. We the gamers now have a world to visit--not just play--that changes constantly. With new content being pushed out frequently, this provides us with a game we won't get bored of, a game we will always want to go back and visit. Sure, you may do that same strike a thousand times over, but isn't that gear you got amazing? I work at GameStop, and I am one whom loves his company. From the announce, to the reveal, to the launch of Destiny, was an incredible journey for me not only as a gamer but as a salesperson as well. Destiny is a product that has invaded my life, and I couldn't be more proud of the end result. For years, I've hyped up Destiny as the next-best thing in video games, predicting it's 'perfect launch' (I say it was successful, although I'm sure some would argue otherwise), to constantly share the new videos released to my friends and customers. This game has touched my heart in it's pure beauty, it's appreciation for the video gaming community, and as one hell of a successful intellectual property. I can't wait to meet more of you fellow guardians on the front lines, helping push back the darkness. I can't wait to meet the first legends forged throughout our solar system and the crucible, but more than anything else, I can't wait to Become Legend myself. Bungie, from the bottom of my heart--to the millions of others that have joined your world--allow me to say Thank You. You've given the next generation of video games hope, and proved that you definitely know what you're doing. I'm excited to see what new content you'll dish out in the future.
