Crucible, Opinions on it?
I've bet you've all experienced the feeling of rage when you do so well in crucible and get nothing. Or when the whole team gets nothing besides the person with 1 kill who is ranked last. Am I the only one thinking that this is complete bullshit? I believe that to obtain any reward from crucible, you should have to be in the top 3 of your team. Or another way could be that everyone gets reward, but the better you do in the game, the better the reward. Any thoughts on my ideas? Or any ideas of your own that you would like to share with me? Comment below.

I spend most of my time waiting to respawn in crucible, so my opinion is jaded.

PvP started off being awesome in the first few days but now that everybody has had time with the game it has started to go down hill, in the first few days i'd get into a Pulse rifle fight with somebody and if i died then i was out shot and out played and i was fine with that, nod of respect to the dude for coming out on top but now... now that everybody has had time everybody realises that Shotguns and Fusion Rifles are one hit kills (even when having taken no damage at all, those weapons kill instantly) so what does the community do? decided to run around with nothing but shotguns and Fusion Rifles which kind of ruins the whole PvP experience for me. there is an old saying "Just because you can be a dick, doesn't mean you should be a dick" the response of the community "LOLyeahright *shotgun to the face*"

Only problem I have with Crucible is the constant radar, thats why the fusion rifle works, as soon as someone using it see you comin on the radar they would literally ads and wait, they need to have mode without a constant radar and only show up when firing a gun

You have to grind or farm to have any decent weapons already, so why is making lower leveled players do the same thing so wrong? It's like people are trying to protect them from the reality of the game or something... Crucible is the fastest way to rank up, so I hardly think they will be doing something that we all haven't done before. The main difference between lower leveled players and higher ones isn't the gear that they are running, its their skills they have available. If a lower leveled player is tired of being mowed down, just grab a Shingen E from the gunsmith for perhaps 200 glimmer. Also, having a random reward system in place ensures mediocrity. Why try hard if you have the same chance of getting the rewards? You don't get more marks for being near the top, so whats the point? Theres hardly a cultivation of wins to loses or reputation, so... you won, big deal? Cookie? It cultivates you to stick a penny under your controller and walk away from the TV and let people kill you, because you get your marks and rewards anyway.

My opinion isn't as extreme as yours but I sympathize. Tho I have gotten much better stuff outside the crucible. Crucible for me right now is rep farming and mark farming.

13 RepliesIf all the loot only goes to the top players, you rapidly end up with a gear gap and they are always top, making the game unplayable for casual players who lack the lightning reflexes and time to match the pro gamers. Nothing will make people drop a game faster than continually dying in PvP, due to other players having gear that is unattainable for mere mortals.

Crucible should be synonymous to shotgun and auto rifle. Yet, I love it. If people are consistently using the same tactic, it's less for me to have to adapt to.

I don't care as much about getting gear when I'm in crucible mode. I'll save all that looting for when I wanna relax and play some pve. I'm fine with sitting at the top of the boards earning my crucible marks. Clearly if I'm doing well at the top I'm not in dire need of new gear anyway

1 ReplyPlayed soo many matches. Got some purple boots, and finally earned enough rep to buy a purple gun that I'm not sure I like yet. Seems like every 2-3 matches, somebody gets a purp engram. I've played likely 100+ matches, got some purple boots, awesome. I really like the game, but It seems like I just don't have horseshoes like some lucky folks.

It's not that terrible, I get most of my loot from PVE, the crucible thing is just for fun, not that I'm at the top of the boards too often, but Im usually in the middle I don't mind when lower level players (including myself though I've yet to get anything from crucible except greens) get high level items. Most of those guys wouldn't even be playing PVP still if they didn't get rewarded. Remember it's a random system, you'll get your sweet roll some time. Though i do think the top two spots should have an increased chance at items in general and of rolling legendaries on top of that.

Just think about other side. Most people are not skilled. If drop will depend by place in results< they will have 2 choices: 1. Play better 2. Dont play crucible I bet most of them wont play crucible. You really want it?

3 RepliesI really feel the only tweak that needs to happen is that anyone who does very well gets a guaranteed useful item say a roll table consisting of only Motes of Light, Strange Coins, Acendant Materials, a smaller chance for Legendary Engrams, and a slim chance for an Exotic. No more of this constant level 16 Blue crap or nothing at all. Had a 4.6 KD yesterday and got nothing. ='(

1 ReplyI think it's balanced...But the game needs a bit more open maps...Otherwise the pvp is just a CQC warfare dominated by shotguns and AOE supers.

If you are going to be pissed about whether you get loot or not, your going to be pissed quite a lot. If I got all the loot I wanted, right away, I would have stopped playing the game before the first week was up. Gotta have some carrot dangling to keep this horse going... ;)

Ive been first and got nothing, ive been 3rd and got 2 items. It evens out. U donr deserve the best loot just cause your better than someone at pvp. They put in the time and effort just like you did
