Foreign music? Yes. Music in a language I can't understand? Not so much. It's not so much that I dislike listening to things in a language I can't understand, it's that I like to understand the lyrics, and I find learning other languages incredibly difficult because I'm just incredibly bad at pursuing a single long time goal such as learning a new language and while I could just look up a translation or put the lyrics through Google translate, I am eventually going to forget them and so I can't be bothered to do it the first time around. That said, in this day and age, to avoid listening to music from other countries in this age of instant communication, I would have to rigorously check that the artists and and their styles of music are home-brewed, and even if I were xenophobic to such a degree that I would actually consider that, I'm also incredibly lazy. With that long-winded monologue about myself out of the way, I'm going to post some music that is foreign from an English-American standpoint. [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaLoBdqcvVY]Apocalyptica-Farewell[/url]: fairly well-known Finnish metal band that uses classical instruments, does a lot of cover songs of more famous bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica, though I think their own stuff is pretty good. Röyksopp is a Norwegian techno duo that I think has a nice collection of slow, quiet songs that go well with staying up all night arguing with people on the internet while pretending that you'll finish your homework and go to sleep.
