Just a few more ideas

Everybody has their opinion of what should be added, fixed, thrown out, or otherwise changed. Without parroting it all back specifically, I agree with the idea of adding a better chat system, matchmaking fixes, etc. Here are few things I propose... 1. Easier Fire Team Recruiting Sure, making a fire team with people already in your friends list is as easy as joining their game in menu. Not all of us have a pool of buddies that we can choose from at any moment to play with however, and to interact with strangers and invite your friends to your fire team, you have to use the Playstation/Xbox messaging interface. This is annoying in some cases and a lot harder and slower than it should have to be, not to mention it takes a little away from the "social" immersion of the tower. We should be able to "interact" with strangers and just send them a fire team invite on the spot and they would get a little in-game alert to accept or decline the invite. Yes, the question of "What about spammers?" does come to mind. To solve that issue, it can be made possible to turn off or block public fire team invites. If someone becomes too much of a problem, they can be reported. This kind of fix would be relatively easy and I believe would improve the social grouping dramatically. 2. Make the Tower More "Social" I believe (and I may be wrong so don't hate) the max player limit in each Tower area is 16. Now, I understand that the Tower is not very big (possibly expand this or make another, larger social area?) but it should have more people. In most MMO's, the hubs feel really cluttered with people and alive. The Tower overall seems kind of dead. (The same could be said for planet exploration as well). I'm not suggesting that there be 1000 people walking around at a time, but maybe it could have like 50-100 people in a lobby? Also, there needs to be a true chat system. I could be wrong, but its probably a pretty safe guess that most people today have a laptop/smartphone/tablet sitting right next to them while they play Destiny. Bungie has made a really convenient app for phones and tablets, as well as a very functional website. So, shouldn't there be some sort of second screen functionality with the game? This could act just like the chat window in a standard MMO. That way, instead of spamming the forums with a bunch of "LFG for lvl 26 raid. Need 3 more, titan, hnter, warlok", there could just be a large amount of poor grammar and shorthand in game that doesn't sit on the web forever... Yes, local mic chat is a fine idea as well, but this would be way less annoying than hearing an eight year old yelling for help when you come within 50 meters of him. I believe this chat system, coupled with the other two above ideas would ensure much better ease in group forming, especially for raids and heroic strikes as well as making the game just feel more alive with people. (Quite honestly, doing missions on Earth with one buddy makes me feel like I am playing a co-op Fallout or something). 3. Improved Ship Use Yes, this one has nothing to do with my other ideas. This is more of wishful thinking than it is something that would be possible anytime soon, but anyway. We should be able to use the inside of our ship. It would not have to be this huge, super in depth change, but just enough so the inside of your ship is a THING. You could walk around a small area in third person the way you do in the tower. It would need only 3 things: 1: Vault Access 2: On Board Bounty Computer 3: Map/Travel These are all relatively simple and straight forward. The Vault would allow you to dump items out of your inventory in orbit so you don't have to make trips back to the tower after every mission so you and your friends can decrypt a small pile of engrams. Access to the bounty missions would be a nice feature for the same reason, no need to visit the tower every time. A bounty computer also would not interfere with the game world or logic, considering bounties can just be "posted". The third one is obvious. You have to have a way to actually tell your ship where to go. Could be as simple as a hologram that you access and it brings up the map UI. Or, you sit down in the pilot's chair and it brings up the current "In Orbit" screen. Tell me what you think about these ideas. If you agree and believe these ideas should be brought to the Devs attention, like and comment so we can get them out there.
