Please don't pull a FromSoftware.

Don't constantly patch this game, nerfing every little thing the community gripes about. The game is fine. Content will be released gradually for everyone, and DLC will be released, obviously. Shotguns kill me at close range? Well damn. Snipers kill me at long range? Woah. Fusion Rifles kill me in between? Snap. Last time I checked out this Forum, everything was being pleaded for a nerf to be brought down on it. Just stop. :)

  • I agree, and I suck at crucible... but I can accept that. And every now and then I find a group that sucks more than me and I rack up hella kills with my shotgun. The co op stuff isn't that difficult at all if everyone uses common sense. I haven't tried the raid yet, but even if it is insanely difficult I feel like that is fine since there are other ways of progression. The hardcore elite need challenges, as well as the casual suck bags.

  • The issue with the special weapons isn't what they do, it's how often they do it. I think they all well balanced (except the fusion rifle which has a ridiculous one-shot kill range), but they are all used as primary weapons because there is too much special ammo. Many people don't even use their primary because the specials are better and there's enough ammo to use them always. Less starting ammo would fix that all up easily.

  • My only grip is strikes or event enemies dont seem to match their level set. Almost instant regenerating shield with 3 direct rocket hits at a lvl 4 lvls higher then enemy target to pop shield and if no one hits him enough while having to fight his buddies his shield charges almost right there. Supers dont seem to dent some of these guys and unless your killing other enemies while chasing them or picking up light you may only super it once. To be more specific Im talking about the checkpoint event enemies that keep running away. It feel balanced if shield wasnt so quick to recharge or would seem to stop charging if shot. Or you didnt respawn so far away and had to catch up to help the 5 plus people shooting him only to fail because he ran through a enemy base giving aggro to everyone allowing him to further run. Heck even if they just made damage to these guys specificly ramp up super charge so you can get a few uses on him or his buddies who come to their aid it feel better. Some big enemies shouldnt have stomp one hit kill moves when some abilities or specials require you to get into those hit boxes. And I understand strikes should be long and difficult but the moon boss ogre needs something done. Spawn gets camped by knights and wizards with shrieker hovering in corner to the point a fire team had to rescue respawned player just so he could get out. I dont mind the ogres attacks much they seem balanced damage wise and how they are used, as the arena has cover. But its accuracy or cool down could use tweeking. What I mean is for such a long accurate blast with high fire rate it shouldnt be able to spam it or at least give airborne guardians a chance to not get smothered because they arnt able to dodge or out fall it making it hard to use upper pillars to kill knights who camp up there with those auto nade launcher things. If you stop even once your chances of survival even in cover from main target are cut drasticly. Shield low, need to scratch nose, to bad knights above you shoot explosives while wizards fly around spamming powerful rapid attack and those are just enemies above you, dont forget the knights who dont seem to slow down for any sort of damage until they die, because they chase you with swarms of thrall out of your cover so boss or wizards can bend you over haha. But in all light humor of that mess the only true reason it feels so grueling is the time sunk trying to give others time to respawn while trying not to die because 50% of his health rides on if you can get others back up before you too die. I swear we spent more time because of restart or because only one person was alive.

    I approve of this post, just wish that people who were on the losing side would stop being babies and fight back instead of leaving to orbit mid-round. Got bailed on three games in a row in Skirmish and then the next three games I had lone wolves without any ounce of teamwork or group mentality what-so-ever (See: Hunters).

    • I agree. The crucible is fine. Rewards at end a bit strange but I enjoy it like that even if it does frustrate me. More of a lottery like that. Everyone knows a shot hurts up close. So learn to jump n dodge. Doh......

      • I got it, take away all the guns, hand out pea shooters and see who can put someone's eye out first. I don't think that would work either though, some would say nerf the Titans lungs. We all carry three guns, take your pick and take your chance. I don't PVP cause I suck at it nerfing won't change that.

The community of any game has the capacity to kill it. Take WoW as an example of how a well meaning development house can compromise and devalue their own product by trying to cater to the whim are every self-entitled player. This game has come under some heavy criticism (some of it being justified) but the balancing of classes and weapons has been superbly executed by Bungie in my humble opinion.

            • Its not that shotguns should be nerfed but the fact everything in destiny is pretty much close range does not help the situation. What game has ever been played with predominantly shotguns......none? Why is that? Because its bad enough you can have a one shot kill shotgun off the bat but being able to see the other team on the radar too far out then crouch and wait.......COME ON. Destiny went soft just like the world is.....conforming to the "Everyone gets a trophy for trying" which is the exact kind of game I rather take no part in.

            • While you do have your own opinion everyone has their own as well. So the next time you tell me to stop. It's just gonna make me want to post even more shit sbout this game. DESTINY should be a free to play game. 3 classes, constant shitty looting system. 4 places to go total!!! This game has little to offer and if the expansion packs do not have actually EXPANSION to the game a significant amount like Diablo expansions and starcraft they were whole new games and changed the way they were played. I can think of other games that the word expansion means adding a whole shit load of new content. I say this because you look at the game and you visit the same 4 places, doesn't matter what mission either you have been there again and again. With only 4 planets I feel like the games hype was overstated. Also I'm just going to mention how when they previewed mutiplayer years ago and players dropped in a drop pod, does anyone remember this? And that the player event was on a much bigger scale.

                    • I don't know about the rest of you but my shotgun never 1-hit-kills anything. Takes like three shots. Then the only way my sniper 1-hit-kills is if I get a headshot. My fusion rifle though I can 1-hit-kill anything no matter where I hit on the body, from close to medium range. It's literally face roll for me to run around with a fusion rifle.

                      • Listen idiot. This isn't like cod. This is like HALO. Every player has shields. In cod shotguns are not overused since there are no shields and rifles are still effective against shotguns at close range. What's not to get?

                          • Agreed. I think all the weapons are fairly well balanced. Nerfing will not make your bad playing better, practice will.

                            • Agreed, I hope Bungie doesn't nerf everything people are getting so butt hurt about. The game is great as it is. It's different, and people should adjust, not the game.
