Fusion Rifles
Hey everyone,
When I'm playing the crucible and I'm with my auto rifle or so, there are always people with fusion rifle and they kill me in one hit almost every time. I think that's really annoying. If you have a sniper and you kill someone in one hit, I can understand it but with a fusion rifle it's aiming and BOOM killing there's no much skills needed for one hit with a fusion rifle and I think there just to Over Powered. So I think that the fusion rifles must have a patch or must be deleted for the crucible because lately everyone is spraying with it and playing the crucible is not much fun anymore. You can even call destiny in the future "Fusiony" if they won't patch/delete it because everyone is going to play with it then. So I hope Bungie/activision will see this and do something about that stupid fusion rifles!

The fusion rifle is suppose to be that way especially close range but the delay on its shot makes it decently easy to avoid even at close range if you have enough skill to actually jump when you hear/ time it's fire if you can't don't just run at them ether keep distance most guns will trump the fusion rifle

2 RepliesI agree the fusion rifle is unbalanced. Anyone saying it takes skill to use it just defending it so they can continue you dominate with it with no real effort. I dont think it should be completely nerfed but I think the charge time should be extended by half of a second or maybe a second. I doesnt need ot be nerfed but it does need to be balanced.

Check your corners. Keep moving so they miss the first shot. Maintain a distance. Use your jump skill. Also keep in mind that there are fusion rifle bounties from time to time so it's not always the players fault.

15 RepliesI think you guys are just not very good at the Crucible and should get better. Fusion rifle is fine the way it is. The only thing that this game NEEDS changed is the effective range of the ARs. Also their damage at range should be reduced by 2-3 points per bullet.

I think you guys just aren't that good at the crucible most likely nothing personal. Just an FYI fusion rifles get weaker the farther you shoot them.

3 RepliesYes it is frustrating, otherwise I tried to play with the fusion rifle and it was hard. In my opinion the fusion rifle needs to get a small downgrade. Cause they are a little OP and that's a bit annoying.

1 ReplyI don't think they need a nerf. If they miss their first shot, they're basically screwed. I've used fusion rifles before and don't think that they're all that great. If you just dodge their first shot, you should be good to go.

1 ReplyMy problem is that it is a one-shot-kill no matter where you hit on the body. A head shot would be understandable. A sniper is two hit unless you hit their head and shotguns have to be really close and doesn't one shot kill people like a fusion rifle (at least with my shotgun anyway). It's not that hard to be accurate and time the charging either. Besides rocket launcher it literally the biggest face roll gun their is.

8 RepliesFusion rifles are great for medium-short range. At point blank they lose to shotguns, and past medium they lose to almost everything else. While powerful, they have some drawbacks. First, the charge time. You need to use the radar to anticipate enemy locations. If an enemy catches you unprepared it's bad news. Second, damage and accuracy drops when moving. Fusion rifles shoot 7 (?) projectiles, but when moving they get spread out making it difficult to hit enemies with them all. This is the main reason why they aren't effective past medium range, the spread becomes too great and you can't land all of the projectiles. This forces you to be stationary or near stationary when the shot is fired (not while charging however) for maximum accuracy. If the enemy doesn't die outright, you better pray you that a) you damaged them enough for a quick melee, b) they are close enough for said melee, and c) they don't have a shotgun out when you try said melee.

1 ReplyIf it wasnt a one-shotter (and note that the rifle is strictly superior at medium range, not close nor far like the shotgun or sniper rifle respectively) do you think a fusion rifle would stand a chance against a player when a primary can take out a guy faster than the second shot? Secondaries are meant to be powerful, its why their ammo is limited in pvp.
