Everyone obviously has their preferences for what weapons they bring to the Crucible and the occasional gripe about one or the other being OP. But so far I've seen the 2 or 3 Guardians bring a handcannon to the Crucible. I've done it myself a few timesand while I love the hitting power the limited clip combined with the short range makes it seem like a poor comparison to the Scout rifle. Has anyone had better lick using cannons in PvP? Because the legendaries seem to make it feasible of you have a steady aim and can get the drop on people.

I would say I'm average but I have 11 rounds in one clip and my hand canon is a blue one so yeah

dude.. the people who truly master pvp are rocking hand cannons to DEVASTATING effect. two head shot kills.. 3 body shots.. 11+ rounds per reload once you get to higher lvl blues and up.. very very viable.. but you have to master the aiming

I actually really lucked out and around level 15 got a blue drop on a hand cannon and have been using it /built my skills around it and am at level 21. With a bit of practice in PVE in terms of aiming more deliberately and conserving shots I've found i perform much better in pvp and have consistently been in top 3 in game or on my team after switching to handcannon (my headshot kill rate went way up as well) . I even won a free-for-all yesterday which felt like a huge deal for me since I haven't really played competitive multiplayer in a shooter since Halo 3. TLDR; with some practice and the right skill/armor buffs hand cannon works great (also gotta admit I love out handcannoning hunters with my lock.

My exotic hand cannon wrecks everyone!

They improve with a high capacity cylinder. I use the devil you know, and with 12 rounds, high stability, and massive impact, I can take people out quite reliably.

I can use one very effectively in crucible. Three shot kill as long as 2 hit the head for mine. If the first two hit they are literally left with enough health that if the wind blows on them they die.
