couldn't be happier legendaries are hard to find

I can't be the only one that is enjoying how hard it is to find legendaries right? I don't want the best items to be handed out and think it's pretty ridiculous that people would want it differently. This instant gratification-mentality seems so silly only a week into the game--sit back and enjoy the experience! And sure, it'd be frustrating to find a purple or gold Engram and have it be something for a different class, but it'll make it that much better when you finally do find something. Here's to the more searching and grinding ahead! Cheers! Edit: Hey guys, just wanted to thank you all for the great feedback! As I'm sure you've noticed, it's reassuring to read so many like-minded players who realize that legendaries should be just that--legendary . Anyway, I'm a level 21 warlock looking for other players for fire teams and eventually raids. I play in MDT time zone and prefer people who have and use mics. Feel free to add me as I'm open to all game types! Cheers!

 • but the thing is, they really aren't legendary. Some people like me and having terrible luck. My first 2 engram to actually give me legendary's gave me gear for a titan while playing a warlock. i didn't even want to make a titan, still kinda don't. There is nothing about destiny loot system that you can justify, yes a system based on luck is fair to everyone, but it penalizes players who actually work hard. The grinding in destiny is non existent, seriously your capped by how many marks so can earn, RNG system doesn't allow for any reward to skilled players, and people who just happen to be really lucky are rolling in gear. Then there are people who can literally afk an entire crucible and still win exotics. Have you seen the amount of exotics out there already? i agree that these items should be hard to earn, but no one is earning them at all. People are getting lucky, being lucky isn't a reward its a blessing. Those of us who are putting hard work in 24/7 and getting 0 reward for it are tired of it. i love destiny i think the game is amazing so im not bashing it. I just really hate RNG system looting in every game its ever been in. There are only 2 ways of getting gear with RNG, being lucky is one, and increasing the amount of kills in PvE environments in another. On top of having the crappy RNG system you have the chance of decoding engrams into items for other classes. That's a double slap in the face as far as im concerned. If i get lucky enough to get a legendary i want that mofo to be useful to me. It would be different if destiny had some type of trading or AH system but bungie will never do that. To be honestly the only reason destiny can ignore our complaints about the RNG system and low drop rates is because of how they destroyed earning your gear. I feel absolutely no pleasure in buying the best/second best gear in the game from vendors. You can literally get any exotic or legendary gear you want if you just want enough weeks tog et marks and for the agent of nine vendor to bring it to you. Making exotics buyable was one of bungies worst mistakes. Hell even buying legendary's gear is a huge mistake, where the hell is the logic in giving away the gear you're suppose to work your ass off to get? with a 100 mark cap a week even low skilled players can beat the 20 strike for 2 marks and have their gear all in 2 weeks. Literally all you have to do is wait.... just wait and it'll be there gift wrapped with a bow and everything. I just really want to feel like im earning my gear and so fair i havent felt that way at all. If i thought i could do the house of glass raid without buying legendary gear from the vendors then i really would just not buy a single piece. This way i'd actually have to earn my gear, the only problem is that if i dont buy the vendor gear i wont get it anywhere else in time to actually stay competitive and entertained. Maybe if the vendor gear was geared more towards PvP somehow and offered less PvE value then i wouldn't feel ashamed buying it and saying i earned it. Anyone who read all that, thank you. I know i ranted a bit but i just wanted to people to understand that the reason destiny loot system is so fudged is because they literally give you what you want if you just wait 2 weeks and do the most basic tiniest bit of work in those 2 weeks.
