I'm really tired of seeing so many fanboys on here referring to this game like it's a godsend "the best game in the last decade" When there is so much wrong with this game. Dont get me wrong, The mechanics are flawless. The game is fun to play. But it's just that. Fun. Nothing more. It's just a fun thing to do. It isn't an experience. But let's think about this for a second. This game has been in development for [b]6 years![/b] the lack of creativity and lack of depth and content is inexcusable. Especially when you consider how "massive" this game was told to be by bungie and how much money was invested. Each zone is in no way larger than the entirety of reach's campaign. Blatant lie. And the maps are all circles. No creativity. You don't get lost, because you don't have a map. You just get frustrated. Because you've been there before about 1500 times already. And the missions! My god. It's like you guys spent 4 and a half years chillin at bungie studios laughing about how "massive" you're gonna tell everyone this game is, 1 year developing mechanics and the last 6 months you said "well, shit we done goofed mate! Quick, make a mission and do it exactly the same exact way but for different locations with slightly different context. Look. The reason why it hurts to say these things is because this game [b]had so much potential[/b] The best analogy I can come up with is that it's like having a kid and you know your kid can get A's in school but instead gets C's and D's It just disappoints you You guys had a chance to make something ground breaking, like you said it was going to be... But there isn't anything new or different here. You took the safest elements from mmo, rpg, and FPS and decided to run with it without creativity. Why you didn't decide to tell an amazing story with a huge universe at your disposal and many different types of missions that could've been made. Who knows. But I guess you have your blind fanboys that'll praise this game for at least another 6 months
