Fusion rifles are way too op for this game
This game is ok. However, fusion rifles make this game very stupid and unbalanced. They are literally long range shotguns that can instantly kill everything (with the exception of some elite enemies and bosses). In many of my matches in the crucible, all I see my enemy do is use fusion rifles to guarantee the win because it instant kills with range. It does as much damage as a rocket launcher shot to the face. Fusion rifles should be reclassified as a heavy weapon, because it makes stuff too easy and it ruins the fun in pvp matches. Either that or they should be nerfed.

Stop Have you actually used the thing? Because you have to get quite close and wait for it to charge and in that time you can get a shotgun to the face, the person can jump out of the way, or simply bash your dumb face in with a melee attack. Idk why everyone's bitching about the crucible and weapons being op it's literally the EXACT same thing as halos multiplayer. Snipers are one shot headshots, shotguns are one shots at close range, grenades kill if placed properly and so on. The only twists to this are that you spawn with shotguns and snipers and supers are also thrown into the mix. Sincerely: a destiny fan trying to enjoy a game but can't because people are constantly putting it down.

Yes fusion rifles are amazing. But if i miss i'm dead. I can't count how many times i've gone on a spree with one. I also can't count how many times i've missed most of my shots in a match because people out strafed me and out ranged me. stop crying.

The charge time is a serious crutch to their shots, and with the spread of bullets it isnt easy to lead your target. This brings me to the conclusion that you're running face first into a fusion rifle, in which case your death is deserved, provided you didn't try to escape either.

3 RepliesFirst off, the charge excuse is false. There are ways to make charge near instant. Secondly, stop saying "you have no skill" as an excuse when there is already evidence. Like I have said, if it can guarantee kills and/or a win, it will be abused. So what if shotguns, snipers, and supers instant kill? Those realistically make sense and have been used in almost every shooter. The fusion rifle however, is more like a halo spartan laser with less than 1/8th of the charge time. No one complained about the spartan laser in halo because it had a long charge and limited shots. The fusion rifle on the other hand, is the opposite: ammo is plentiful and charge time is short. Both of which can instant kill another person. Increased charge time and making it so that you can't rapid charge would make a lot more sense.

Well firstly they're special weapons, so step 1 don't let them farm ammo? Don't let them get a clear shot? Mow them before charge time? Use team tactics?

Stay mobile and listen for the charge. My shotgun can beat a fusion rifle every time. When people miss with that thing, and they DO miss often, their pretty much -blam!-ed every time.

Unfortunately for you there are obviously people with the skill to -blam!- your face withe them.
