I hit a leveling wall at 24! Advice?
I've been grinding out every game mode that's in the game. Crucible is giving me marks towards my New Monarchy rank but I need 2500 to get to Rank 2. Story missions and Patrol Missions give me a decent amount but its taking long sessions just to get 1 legendary engram. Strikes are a grind and they don't give you items or drops half the time.
I'm stuck at 24 and a half and cannot get past it. I have a upgraded, level 20 rare armor pieces and all rare weapons and for the life of me cannot get any legendary items. Any advice?

Considering 3 out of 4 of my armor slots were purchased from the venders, I'm having a hard time believing anyone is "stuck" at 24 when you can get legendaries/exotics by farming faction/items. ..... Like seriously. Why do these posts keep popping up? Google, or visit shops in the tower. Anything. Not meant to be a dick to you in particular, but there's so many of these posts from people and it blows my mind.

I gave up on the whole grinding thing. It basically just makes me mad and wastes my time. So I'm having fun completing bounties and increasing my FWC rep.

3 RepliesMe too man, 24 and barely made it there The loot drop system is a joke, I even went as Far as going to YouTube for help, grinded away For literally over 4 hours, I had at least 10 blue Engrams and 2 legendary, guess what I got A whole lot of fuc[i]k[/i]ing shi[i]t[/i] uncommon BS and then the cryptarch levels up and gives you a package of oh guess what NOTHING Lady Luck has not been shining down upon me

Level up vanguard/faction to 2. Buy armor.

Yeah I got 3 legendary engrams and 1 was a blue chest and the others where exotic items for the other classes FML

You need a piece of legendary to get you to 25, im stuck at 24 myself for like the last 3 days

Your best bet is to do bounties to up your faction rank and level your cryptarch. I'd suggest doing the cryptarch more. Just play a lot of pvp and strikes. You'll need all the engrams you can get

Farming can also be a viable option but you don't really get any xp or marks or any other side bonuses besides drops. Ranking up your vanguard and crucible is probably your most solid option for longevity. You will start getting lucky soon! Stick with it

1 ReplyWas stuck on 24 for 4days, just hit 25. Buy one of each mark gear. 65 each with rep of level 2 for both. Then u can do the raid!

I'm in the same boat. I have the best blue armor you can get. Our only hope is to get legendary armor of some kind. Unfortunately the only legendaries I found were 2 rocket lawnchairs and a Titan helmet. Fml

12 RepliesYou shouldn't have switched to New Monarchy so fast, since you had a head start on your vanguard rank. With one weeks marks you can get a piece of legendary gear at rank 2. Pvp awards gear and engrams. Leveling your cryptarch gets some good rewards in the mail. Higher level strikes are good too.

Yeah. 25 and I haven't gotten anything in ages. I'm just grinding Dead Orbit rep, gotta rock my colours.

24 is the hardest to get past because its max level that blues cap out at. I got past it with good timing due to Xur the black market dude where i traded my motes of light for an exotic chest. the rest of my legendary gear i got from crucible/vanguard. thats the easiest way to break free from the clutches of 24

I too feel like I've hit a leveling wall. On one hand, I'm not in that much of a rush to level but on the other hand, I don't want to miss out on events because I'm one or two levels away from the requirement to get in.

Do the strike playlist. You'll get a decent amount of engrams from doing it which will lead to higher cryptarch rank and packages. Also do all the PvE bounties for rank and make sure you are repping the faction. After the reset on weekly cap you should be able to get 2 armor pieces from whatever faction you are repping. Third note upgrading the defense of an armor piece will also give a slight boost to the light stat as well.

Like others have said, you need to either get to Rank 2 with any faction or get lucky with drops. Play whatever you like on your way there.
