Take on missions with confidence, you won't know how you'll fare until you try. Take on strikes after you've leveled up a bit at least until the strikes difficulty drops to normal. Find the class that suites your play style, titian = up close and personal, hunter = ranged and dexterous weapon handling, warlock = support or offense. Next find your three weapons that you can handle easily. For me it's the hand cannon and sniper (I'm a hunter so it's perfect) or simply go for an auto rifle, everyone is good with one of those. In strikes or raids have faith in your team, they are all the backup you have, revive them and help them in tight situations. And most importantly be friendly you want allies not enemies!
