Should you be penalized for quitting a strike?

Last night I I had to restart a strike mission several times because my teammates kept quitting, leaving me to fend for myself. I am currently at level 15, so going solo was not a feasible option. This pisses me off and there should be measures taken to prevent such dickery. That's why I think players should be fined 1500 glimmer points every time they quit a strike and abandon their teammates. If they run out of glimmer, then they will receive experience penalties and be de-leveled. I think this would very quickly put a stop to abandonment. Now, I know what you are going to say: "But then people will just go idle!" Then they will be kicked for inactivity and the penalty will still be issued. What do you guys think?

  • tonight the strike playlist isn't even working for me, it searches for about a minute then throws me in one by myself, so no I don't think there should be any penalty as long as its doing this bullshit
