Striker feels like a failed concept.

It's supposed to be THE melee class, but... -Shotguns > Melee, period -Bladedancers perfrme the niche much better. I know Hunter is literally Bungies poster child (If there's a Guardian in a piece of art, 9/10 times a Hunter will be in said art piece, usually front and center) but seriously... -Fist of Havok against PvE Bosses is asking for death after you finish the animation, both Warlocks and Bladedancers (who don't need the enemies grouping up) are better at wiping out swarms of generic enemies. -Landing a good FoH in PvP feels good, but it's a lot easier for a Bladedancer to come out with 3+ kills than it is a Striker -The shoulder attack is nice in concept, but requires you to sprint for too long and if you sprint long enough you will have to stop and charge the shoulder attack again (why the hell do they require you to charge it again after sprinting a certain distance?) -Who the hell is going to invest in Strength to get a lower cooldown on their Melee skill in PvP?

  • -Who the hell is going to invest in Strength to get a lower cooldown on their Melee skill in PvP? This, THIS, of all the things that bother me about the striker, bothers me the most. With literally EVERY other subclass in the game there is some sort of reason to invest strength, but not for the titan in pvp. Defender: overshield with perks? Yes please. Especially paired with WOD. Gunslinger: massive damage on impact you can send across the map. Blade Dancer: shotgun range melee that can insta kill from behind.(with a certain upgrade) Voidwalker: besides having absurd reach energy drain gives stupid fast grenade recharge without needing to kill. Sunsinger: flame shield. MOTHER -blam!-ING FLAME SHIELD. nuff said. Even the striker's AOE melee is worthless considering a half brain dead enemy can turn around and shoot you or melee you while you're trying to fist his teammate to death, assuming you dont get a kill trade.
Fist of Havok against PvE Bosses is asking for death
lol, you need to know when to use it, it causes a lot of damage so it is good boss finisher and ultimate escape from flood of enemies. On PvP it's even to strong, I killed 4 high level guys in one second :)

  • Nothing a better feeling than having Shoulder Charge's "charge" randomly run out just as you get in range to use it..... There should, at the very freaking least, be an indication of when it's about to run out.

  • After playing around with both I do feel striker is seriously lacking. The shield and shoulder charge are just too finicky to be useful in pvp. FoH is seriously awesome though but most people don't see passed that even though the rest to the striker talents are crap for PvE and PvP.

  • Lot of issues with it. Unless you can get juggernaut and shoulder charge at the same time it is kinda useless. Also when you sprint for a duration and it activates it should stay until you stop sprinting. That is a dumb mechanic.

  • Fist of Havok not good in PvP? Are you on some medication? If not, you should get some help from AA.

  • I think Bungie slapped too many of the Titan's true strengths (both striker and defender) into on-kill mechanics. That really gimps the Titan because they don't reap any benefits unless something dies. This is specially the case with the defender subclass since they don't even see their shield unless they kill the target and Disintegrate doesn't deal bonus damage (which is ironic despite its name). I think the Titan should be actively rewarded for staying within melee range.

  • Play style wise I think the defender is more melee oriented than the striker is given the barrier on melee kill effect.

  • It seems that way, with the hunters specials so effective. Look at the bright side (Sunsinger Warlock), your still super tanky and a beast in close combat.

Striker rocks! Better than the bubble. Now that's a fail in pvp. I can post a vid to prove it:)
