Some Christian got butthurt yesterday because I was "offensive"
So we were in class doing some retarded quote of the day shit. This one girl goes up there and recites some bible quote saying that you should never ask someone your own age for advice and only ask people older than you.
Obviously, I realize that's -blam!-ing retarded so when the teacher asked for comments I told her that different people have different skillsets and that I may be a competent writer but I can go to my friends for math help and vice versa. Then my friend behind me was like "Yeah, see this is why I'm an atheist" (I tipped my fedora to that lady) and then a bunch of other people joined in on the argument.
Eventually the teacher told us all to be quiet and I just concluded by saying "this is why I don't read books from 3000 years ago"
Then some butthurt girl was like "That's offensive to some people. Including me." I just shrugged and let the class continue.
Now, I wasn't trying to be edgy or anything like that, but it's the same reason that as a Muslim I've never read the Quran. I just don't think that ideals from times long past are relevant today.

I'm not going to announce or even give a hint to what I believe in for this very reason. My only question is why you had to share this on a video game forum? I have a few hunches, they might be true they might not be. A. You made up this whole story to get attention B. you hate Christians so you felt the need to create a story so you can see other people hate on Christians C. This story actually happened and if disagreeing with this poor girls decision wasn't enough you went to post it on the forum to bring her down even more. D. This happened and you had to justify your decision and actions with other people on the forum.

The Bible is an incredible piece of literature and in my opinion, it should be studied simply because of it's words, not necessarily the meaning. Yes, the meaning is important. Like the theme and whatnot, but you don't have to be religious at all to read the Bible. You don't have to be Muslim to read the Quaran. I both and agree and disagree with this post.
