The cake is a lie...

Anyone else get to the endgame content and feel that way? ...actually, I felt that way before getting to endgame. So much potential, so many fundamental issues. Lack of communication or cooperation with fellow players. Sparse environments. Cookie cutter (one cookie cutter) missions. Extremely limited match making that doesn't extend to the more interesting content in the game. Way to alienate every player who doesn't have dozens of friends on PSN or enough time to coordinate with a clan outside of the game. The game is beautiful. The physics and controls are amazing. But at the end of the day, the cake is a lie. :(

  • On the contrary I believe the cake is still baking. The game recently came out n Bungie has said they would add more to the game in the future. You already see the game has potential to grow and knowing Bungie from their earlier games, Bungie will make it grow. You enjoy the game, but not a lot to keep that enjoyment from dying out. Get creative within the game n it will keep it interesting. (We still got DLC to look forward to, in which Bungie has never really disappointed us in the past with DLC)

  • I agree with you completely. I wanted to love this game, I wanted to put my spare time and effort into this game and for it to pay off. I feel cheated. Cheated because every single mission and strike follow the exact same pattern - clear area, clear area, clear area, ghost opens door/hacks system, clear wave 1, clear wave 2, clear wave 3, fight boss with 2 moves. Cheated because the longevity of the game is jeopardised by me not having enough "friends" on PSN to complete the raid missions. I love the gameplay mechanics, they're tight and smooth (just how I like it) and the world design is beautiful...but there's no substance to it.

  • I definately agree with all of your points. Im still enjoying the game as I am no longer a power leveler. But once I reach the end I wondrr what else will there be. Lack of comms, in game trade economy and player housing are 3 things I identified straight away as a problem in the beta. I hope bungie incorporates them. Otherwise the mmo players will not stay. Most of the FPS players are gone as of COD and HALO. VtxR - PS3
