Error Code Mongoose
Bungie,
Since the full game has been released I have been unable to play multiplayer, (I had no issues in the beta). I can do all the single player missions but am unable to get into the crucible or get a fire team for strike missions.
When the search finally times out I receive the error code "Mongoose".
Please help!

Gametag, suckerpunch509 Xbox1 Error code mongoose Haven't been able to find any info on this error code. Cant get into crucible cant see other players unless on their fire team. I am hard wired to router, have open nat, and have port forwarded. Any help is appreciated. I still think this is a great game despite issues.

Mongoose revolves around either NAT issues, or screwed up game files... a common fix as well is to delete your profile, clear system cache memory, re download your profile, then try..

Me too since launch. I'm on ps4 and the only time I see people is when I join a friend. Sucks.

This has been the biggest issue i have seen, and it has been happening to me since i first started playing. I'm lvl 24 and i still have never seen other players. My ISP is ViaSat Exede, I have Static IP, UPnP, my MTU is 1464 so i have it set to 1492, I have tried port forwarding and triggering, and i still can not find anyone... i know the PS4 is loaded with players. If i join a friend who is on a different connection, then I can see other players, do crucibles and strikes, but should i really have to rely on my friends to play with the community? I really hope they fix this!

How has this issue been occurring for some people since launch??? The game is designed to encourage teamwork so you would think that when a problem like "mongoose" occurs (funny that they already have a name for the issue of not being able to connect with anyone) Bungie would be all over it and at the very least acknowledge the issue. I love Bungie but they are very, very quickly losing any sort of future investment in to one of their games. Fail Bungie.

2 RepliesSame here. On PS4 at level 6 and have not seen another player yet. Just get searching/evaluating guardians when try to join a crucible match. Could use the help on patrol missions when the walker drops and you have 5 minutes to drop it. Just don't have the firepower or ammo to get it done.
