Centipede University Connection Issue
After installing the game twice and thoroughly testing my connection I have deduced that if you are getting the centipede error code like I am that Bungie has not adjusted for University hubs or server connection. No one on my floor can play and are getting the same error code. My brother is not at University and is getting the Cattle error. I'm not sure what is going on but I hope these issues are resolved as soon as possible because I'm already weary of this purchase. I love Bungie but mass server issues and error codes on the first night sends a bad message. Furthermore there is no support to assist. I will see what happens tomorrow but my guess is that these issues will not be fully resolved any time soon. It also seems odd that one specific code is designed for University hub/server errors. Who else are having these issues? What is happening elsewhere?

How about a response from you? I paid $60 for something that I can't enjoy because I am constantly waiting for the disconnections...

1 Replyi live in east london, south africa. i have followed all the "fix" helps, opened my ports and given my ps4 a static ip. was forking on and off but after the queens favor update i have had non stop centipede errors. this is starting to break my will and i am getting beyond irritated. i have a home and i hard line internet connection. why is bungie not fixing this??!!

Sorry I've been away, college can be quite a... dregg ;) ;) but hey I have a group called Clan Centipede if you want to join but u need help figuring out how to make it an actual clan not just a group. Can I do it from my phone or... ? Also home users who are getting Centipede and more: I honestly can't say when Bungie will fix your issues likely because it's a networking problem. You as a whole make "less noise" than Universities so I would recommend making more noise. Comment below your problem and we could compile another mass list! It worked before. May work again. Can they really ignore their biggest thread and thousands of fans?

Our Infrastructure group is aware of the Destiny issue and they are looking into the matter. I'm sorry I don't have a specific time to give you as to when this will be fixed. All I have been informed is that we are aware of the problem and are looking into it. Again, I apologize for not being able to offer more information at this time. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the IT Help Desk at...." So here is hoping that they can get it sorted out soon!

1 ReplyIt's not just universities!! I am live in Chicago and I use comcast and I to am getting the centipede error since the new update for the queens wrath !! I have been disconnected over 3 times in the last 20 minutes with this code. It's not just a school campus thing. Sorry folks you are not special

So does being in proximity to a university but not on campus count as a university connection? I'm not on campus at Texas A&M but rather live in an apartment a minute or two away with a seperate ISP for the complex (Pavlov Media). I've gone the extra mile and forwarded ports and used an Ethernet cable but I'm getting Centipede and baboon without fail and I've never had problem with other games.

Destiny began working about a week ago at North Central College. They implemented the patch that was released by Bungie. So the patch does work far as I know. Hope this helps all of you who are still having problems.

11 RepliesBecause of your complaints they hotfixed it and made server disconnects worse for everyone else. Thanks a lot. Now instead of flawless connections I get dropped all the time. You should be studying hard in college anyway not playing Destiny.
