Marathon Rights
Just wondering if Bungie would be allowed to make a new Marathon game if they ever wanted to.

1 ReplyTheir activision contract states if destiny receives a 90 overall meta critic score they can appropriate no more then 5% of their team to a new marathon. I really hope this happens, durandal was one of the first real games I ever played.

6 RepliesBungie still holds ownership of the Marathon IP. They did make the source code of M2 open-source and released the game-files to the public, all of which are being well cared for by the Aleph-One community. But if/when a Marathon title comes out, it is at Bungie's discretion and with their permission.
