Too many dads are playing Destiny.
As you can see there are multiple "Dads of Destiny" groups/clans each with over 1000+ members. Once Destiny is released I fear that all these dads will drop their parental responsibilities and pick up a controller instead. I know this might come across as preventing something before it happens, but I am not a fan of child neglecting or treating your spouse as anything but the most important thing in your life so here is my proposal. I believe we should have every member of all these Dads of Destiny groups banned from PSN/XBL. This might not solve the problem but it definitely will help get over 20,000+ dads off their butts and back to taking care of their families. This might sound ridiculous, but my goal cannot be reached without the help of the community.
Edit: The hashtag says it all

Complete bs I spend time with my daughter and gf when it is 7pm my daughter is in bes. Then I play Xbox my partner is fine as she watches her TV soaps in peace without my yawning and commenting on how boring it is. So I'm really playing the Xbox to give her peace I must be an amazing boyfriend. Also your argument can be turned around as youths etc need to experience fresh air! And interacting with people face to face.

I only play once the kids are asleep, and the wife is watching her recorded shows... I still work full time, attend church, care for my family, and the game hasn't changed one aspect of my family life. At worse I get a few hours less sleep, and that's my problem.

I just read the title and thought you're right.... where's all the MILFs?
-
I should start a Grand Pa's of Destiny Clan... Show them lil whippersnappers a thing or two.

Looking for raid group. I'm a lvl 30. My gt is vividfawn454865 xbox one hard only
-
Nope I smash the game out in my spare time but still sit down for an hour to help do my sons school homework. I'm not even on the game now and haven't been for a few hours
-
My daughter just started college and I'm retired. That one lady I married a while back still hangs around the house every once in a while, but she'd rather have me gaming than out at the bars like the "good old days".

Hi Danny
-
do you see the hashtag #bait? He is trolling you guys.

As a founder of a clan affiliated with Dads of Destiny, you're crazy. Every single person has posted on their forum how they can't play until spouses and children go to sleep. The point of the dads of Destiny is to know that we all have responsibilities and that comes first. It also lets us have our own groups so if something comes up, we don't have five 13 year olds telling us we suck because we have to leave the group because we have family situations to take care of.
-
I think you need to read the charter for Dads of Destiny, you have apparently missed the part where family comes first and videogames come second, or perhaps you are just afraid to get beat by a bunch of dads in the crucible.

Sometimes I wish there was a sarcastic emoticon, but then something like this comes along. I tip my hat

I have to say this is pretty good. Pretty well thought out, execution was good as well. Bravo, sir.

Wow...As a DoD member I find your concerns baffling at best. If you knew anything about our clan you would know that it was formed because of time constraints that come with raising a family. Only a father can understand how another fathers free time can be immediately cut short with children and family emergencies. We understand each other and if a member needs to leave during the middle of a raid or a strike they won't be met with the misunderstood feelings of someone who hasn't been in a similar predicament. Our clan members put family first and the game second. That being said we were the largest presence in the Destiny Alpha so expect when the game launches to be decimated by fathers with babies sitting in there laps. Good day to you sir.

I am Dad and I take offense to that.

Guys, calm down. He has a #bait in his tags. Everybody is getting so mad...
-
0/10. My son and I plan to play together untill our eyes bleed. The wife? Got rid of that nagging -blam!- years ago. Game on.
-
Your father was truly a deadbeat? You poor kid I feel sorry for you. Maybe you need to talk to your Dad and ask him why he did you an your mom wrong like that. Sorry man.
-
So totally saw this as troll bait. The secret to being a gaming dad is balance. Like in everything.
-
There are also many entitled brats who could use some education from the said Dads.
