Whats up with the Digital Guardian Edition?
With the recent news of the digital upgrade from Xbox 360/PS3 to Xbox One/PS4, I am planning to cancel my physical XB1 preorder. That being said, the official website for this topic states that the Digital Guardian Edition is available to upgrade from XB360 to XB1 ([url]http://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade[/url]). However, there is no Guardian Edition for XB360, unless I am mistaken. How would I go about this without having to dish out $180 to play on both consoles?

4 RepliesThe Xbox 360 does not support pre-loading like the Xbox One does, so the way it will work is you would have to buy the Digital Guardian edition on 360 on 9/9/2014 and then have it upgraded on your Xbox One after that.

You will be able to purchase the Digital Guardian Edition on September 9th. The Xbox 360 does not support preordering for digital content, thus it is not yet available.

10 RepliesI cannot speak for Microsoft, but Sony has confirmed that if you have purchased the digital PS4 version of Destiny, you will also be able to download the PS3 version for free starting Sept. 9th. Since Xbox 360 does not support preloading, I would suggest not cancelling your preorder until Microsoft confirms that you will not get a free copy of the 360 version with the Xbone version.
