As everyone knows COD has been out selling all games for years now. But Destiny might change that. What do you think?

COD has already met its match with Battlefield games. But like everyone says, Destiny will overdo the sales less than two weeks, I'm guessing though. I mean, look what happened to Halo 2 when it first came out. Me, I'm glad I stuck with Battlefield than COD's trickshooting, quickscoping and somewhat dropshooting (even though you can somehow do that in Battlefield too). For me, there's alot more communications and coordinations in a objective based gametype. Hell, it even got ammo refills and revivals. COD is more fire and forget. XD

COD is dead! Long live Destiny!

CoD already met its match; The Destiny Beta :p Now, Bungie will gain world domination with the power of our Destiny.
-
Wasn't GTA 5 best-selling game last year.
-
Thats what developers thought about flappy bird

CoD might be repetitive. But theres is just something that i enjoy about it. Probably because i always play with mates. But i still enjoy every game.

Seems like there are two good games from which to choose ;)

Cod lost a long time ago to battlefield lol. All games have met their match with Destiny. They will have to step up everything.

-
COD all ready met its match with battlefield oh wait nvm battlefield is much better.

Call of Duty and Destiny are entirely different games, the only thing they have in common is their sense of FPS. That being said I think the COD games have lost their drive. How many reboots of the same play-style can you create before people get bored? In terms of out-selling one-another, Bungie has a serious fan base, but I think they could struggle to sell the game to people who are already under it's spell. Whilst talking to my friends who sit there and do play COD 24/7 they've barely heard of it, and if they have they're straight up not interested. Destiny has no franchise to build on, this is textbook new beginnings.

Cod died with Cod ghosts now its just a sad game i mean even the ps3 version for destiny is beating out the next gen version of COD
-
And yes I think CoD has met it's match. It has everything that CoD is missing.

I don't think you can compare the two to be honest to different genre games.

Edited by TheMighty3X: 9/3/2014 2:57:03 PMWith all due respect...Destiny is not a COD killer. This is coming from a card-carrying COD hater (and I wear my badge proudly too), no FPS game will kill Call Of Duty, because to paraphrase Vince McMahon, "Destiny didn't screw COD, COD screwed COD." In Activision's longstanding tradition, they took a good franchise and milked it dry, to the point that the only people left interested are the true diehards who will buy the game year after year no matter how little they differ from one another. On a separate note, I'm happy Destiny is only a 10 year commitment between Bungie & Activision-which in terms of game development is relatively short a span of time when you consider it took 5 years to make Destiny itself, because that means there's no chance of the same being done to this franchise as well. Once it's done...it's truly done.

It's struggling to get attention. Did you see that GameStop exclusive? Pre-order COD AW and get an item for a completely different game.
