When did we vote for this??
I don't ever remember seeing a bunch of threads complaining the Auto Rifles needed to be nerfed, so why Bungie, [b]WHY?[/b]

I liked it how it was, besides the hand cannons. It added another element to the game in terms of obtaining equipment. If you got a scout or pulse rifle that was a higher level, or did more damage than your previous gun, you would use it because it was better, but you would continue to try to get an auto rifle.

1 ReplyBungie is becoming the Apple of the gaming industry. They'll make sure they're always one step ahead of the game, making sure we can get the best experience out of the game possible. They're going to balance the gaming mechanics out so that our weaponry will seem realistic in damage to the enemies we'll face, and I really like the idea of nerfing some weapons.

So i am fine if Bungie planned this but if your complaints about op and nerf made them do it then get lost you don't deserve to play a game if you are going to ruin the pve fun of the rest of us. So again if this was Decided by Bungie earlier i am sorry for my rant but if not my rage stays concentrated on complainers.

I watched this happen in Battlefield for the last 8 months. LevelCrap says something is OP, so all his viewers watch and then start using that weapon, then the community cries OP and it gets nerfed. Then the same damn thing happens with something else. Bungie plays the same game we do. They don't need your input, my input, or any input whatsoever from so called MLGimps and whoever else. They have a vision, they know balance. Quit crying and play the game.

We didn't. People cried about the AR because they got owned. I could care less, but it did see a tad bit too much use in the Crucible. I preferred HC and I got wrecked, so I'm more glad than not about the changes

I agree there was no need for the auto rifle to be nerfed. But people complain about things all the time. Just because you are killed by someone using the auto rifle doesn't mean it is overpowered it means you need to step up your game.

We voted during the Beta. When Bungie was carefully watching and collecting data and seeing how everything played. This was not done as a part of some community outcry for justice. This was a carefully measured and approached step taken by professionals who spent hundreds of hours doing research on literally thousands and thousands of games. Our skills, or lack there of, weapon choice, scores, and abilities cast the vote.

Who said all of the changes came from us? Bungie stated that the beta was an obsolete build and some of the balance whining such as the interceptor was expected as they had already tweaked balance from internal play testing. Get off your high horse and quit yer whining! We haven't played the game yet!
