With today's terrible economy, video games are getting more expensive and less affordable. I think this is sad because less people are going to enjoy the Destiny experience. Well, what if bungie could release a cheaper version of Destiny that has product placement? Instead of paying $60 for Destiny, you would only pay $30. Instead of the typical loading screens, you get short advertisements for various products. The default decals for the armor you wear will all be some sort of advertising logos. (Sort of like having race cars advertise Tide laundry detergant) A scrolling advertising banner would always be at the bottom of the screen, constantly letting you know of all the cool products bungie's associates and sponsors are selling. But it gets even better, you will be able to share your advertisements with nearby players. Let's say for example Player A has the full priced game without advertisements, but player B has the $30 game with advertisements. If player B joins Player A's game or encounters player A on the field, then advertisements will begin to flow across player A's screen as well. I think this would be a great way to let users know of the awesome products that these companies have for sale. Even better, if user B decides they want to upgrade to the full game and get rid of the advertisements, they can fork over another $30 for a DLC upgrade. Thoughts?
