Hey everyone! Like many of you, I've been following Bungie for quite some time. In 2011 I began my Media Arts and Animation bachelors at the Cincinnati Art Institute, and in mid 2012 I went through some charcoal heavy classes. I had never used charcoal before, and it was scary. Some months later Bungie revealed their Destiny trailer in early 2013, and I had absolutely loved the artwork relating to the game-especially the symbol that we know as the 'Tricorn' I really wanted a poster of just the symbol, but could not find one, so I quickly realized the solution was to make one myself. From early March to mid April last year, I re created the Destiny Tricorn logo on 22x30 canvass in charcoal. It was this project that spawned the interest of doing more 'Symbol Re Creation' down the road, and since then I've done several band related and game related symbol drawings such as Assassins Creed, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal 2012, Master Chief (Halo 3 Box Art) and several others. Anyway, with the release of Destiny just around the corner, I thought Id share this where it will mean the most. I've gained quite a following on Facebook over the past year and half, but honestly no one really knew what the destiny logo was when I did it. I literally just created the blog, so there isn't much on it yet. I'll get around to posting other symbol re creation projects later on.
