One thing I did not enjoy about the alpha and beta builds was the sense of isolation and loneliness I felt. Usually I only saw 3 or for people in old Russia. Since Destiny is going to be a FPS MMO, I think it should do a better job of living up to the MMO aspect. Each instance and server should be able to have a 77 player capacity. That way I will feel like I am playing with a community and it will make public events feel like a big battle or that I am exploring Bungie's world with an army of guardians.

There should be at least a little over 100. Depending where players are, what they are doing and what platform.
-
Agreed, but I would like something like 300 people. I was expecting Public Events to be large planetside-type events, but I ended up doing most of them by myself. Also there did seem to be very little people I ran into (except for the tower, which was always packed full), so I would like more.
-
I like it, but I don't think current gen could handle that. I would think it would crash, instantly.
-
He's I felt lonely to when i was playing the beta not enough people
-
I'm indifferent to this.
-
I must admit I did feel a little isolated at times, would be nice to see the capacity for more players increased.
-
The only question i have is why 77? why not 42 or 23 or 137? why do you think that 77 would be the best number of players? its such an odd number

*four

I like the sometimes isolated feel just to be surprised by support from fellow guardians. I mean our population was severely decimated and we're just now trying to push back so it makes sense to me.
-
I agree I didn't see THAT many people on each instance I think maybe 8 people tops in old Russia like 12 to 15 in the tower I would for sure like to see A plethora of people I thought there was almost 5 million players....we are they at lol

Except destiny isnt an MMO
-
Did you check the camping spots. Bound to be a lot of guardians there.

Edited by J smalls: 8/28/2014 11:35:43 PMWow. I actually... agree with this. I think I better go lie down.
25 to 50 though
Did you forget to sign into your other account? I thought you only trolled on this one.

You not meant to be around tons of guardians all the time. -.- Bungie wants you to take in the detail, and really have that feel of you being small in their world and explore that with a few other friends. They don't want to turn free roam into a big team battle.... Your a guardian, your meant to explore the vast new areas, look at the hard work they put in, lose yourself in their haunting world. Ravage around to find loot and to kill enemies you come by with your fire team. Your not a marine. If you want giant battles go play halo or PvP. And if your tired of being alone go to the tower and dance.

Destiny isn't an MMO, your post is invalid.

Long face strikes again lol you r god at these

Edited by ElectroHail: 8/29/2014 12:56:52 AMBut wouldn't that fuçk the fps and crash the game? 20 players, tops
-
Your the last serving members of the exo, human, or awoken there's not that many of you left. If there were 77 players per instance then you would see people every inch of the map, it would be WAY too crowded to do anything.
-
My God this is the worst possible suggestion. Imagine trying to get to objectives with EVERYTHING cleared out already because of the insane amount of players in the zone. It would be extremely boring and unsatisfying. The only TRUE MMO aspect that Destiny has is raids and competitive matchmaking. I hope they keep it that way.
-
Hey o bunch of underscores o, stop it ok.... Just stop
-
It did feel empty sometimes.
-
16max is weird...big map like that should have at least 30
-
Agreed but last gen systems holds everyone back
-
If this was a true open world game like EQ or WOW then yea this would be nice, but it's not. Also the reason that Bungie has stated Destiny isn't a RPGMMO is because they didn't want to chase away the FPS crowd. Hence the shared world shooter. Sadly even large games like EQ and WOW you can still get that lonely and isolated feeling. If Bungie was using the whole planet earth as a playable area then I am sure we could do what you suggested, but that would be insane and be very expensive on bungies side and I am not sure a console could handle that.

talks like Esmeralda "No... No" shakes head the max I would allow is like 12 or 16and those are random players that are just in the map with you that's quite vast in its self :O
