Will Destiny multiplayer follow suit?
With many of todays FPS releases the opening week/weekend tends to include some kind of special event in multiplayer, whether it be a weekend of double XP, extra weapon unlocks, special achievements, etc. Do you guys think we will get something like this for the opening week/weekend of the Destiny multiplayer and what do you think it might be? I personally think it would be cool to do some kind of faction wars where we are given a token for our chosen faction and earn extra rep. and rewards with that faction depending on how well we do in the crucible. Something about Dead Orbit and the New Monarchy duking it out just sounds cool.

I am curious to see what the community is really wanting as far as multiplayer special events. So far it looks like most players would like some kind of epic gear giveaway for the first multiplayer event to celebrate the release of the game.

2 RepliesWell you know about the Trials of Osiris or whatever it is called? You can find a coin or buy one with a mode of light, then you are allowed to go to the PvP map the burning shrine of Mercury, but as soon as you lose three times, you must get another coin.

From the way DeeJ has been talking it sounds like they are going to make the Iron Banner events much longer, like entire weekends instead of only hours at a time which would allow more people to enjoy it. I still think they should have a different faction event each week with increased rep., new weapons or exclusive weapons only for the event and special rewards for participating and completing achievements. Like the Dead Orbit Initiative or the New Monarchy Regime.
