NO: I do not like the idea (insert reason.)

One of the biggest Pre-Order Sales pitch to any game is the Exclusive equipment that you receive with said Pre-Order. Subsequently one of the biggest let downs is how quickly that equipment becomes obsolete. Someday, probably not with Destiny, an even better pitch would be "Evolving Pre-Order Gear". As your character levels/ranks the gear Evolves to continue to provide some support. Think of it this way. As an example: If you Pre-Order you will receive an armor set that will provide the average armor rating for your level, it will grow as you grow, and it may develop any kind of customizable visual configuration. But if you don't Pre-Order you will have to fight, pay, or find your own armor each time you grow to replace what you currently have (just like it is now.) The same could be done with weapons. EDIT: To modify the idea just a little. Let's say that in order for it to grow (pretending that it is some form of symbiotic armor) it must consume other items. Armor for armor, primary for primary, etc. Now as a base package it is on the average of standard equipment, (eg. Standard helms range from 20 to 30 Armor, and rare helms range from 25 to 35 with stat boosts, the pre-order set would level in at 25 armor no boosts but in order for it to level and gain any boost it must consume a target level item and only gets 50% of that items boost only until it consumes again. Or some other way to regulate the item. Granted to keep things sensible these Pre-Order Bonuses would not be overpowering, just provide the average basic support and features for a standard item of that class and level. In short when you level, it would cover your metaphorical until you found some type of rarity with all the boosts you want. So you would never be left with last level leftovers. So what do you think? Would this be a good idea? Could it be useful? Would it make it worth while to Pre-Order a game as opposed to waiting until the prices dropped or you could find a used copy cheap? Let me know what you think and please explain any reasoning behind whatever stance you take. Thanks.
