Slow Ping
So, I'm running satellite broadband because of my location. I know that it's well known that satellite can be poor for shooters. However, my connection seemed to run TLoU pretty good. I was wondering if I could get other peoples opinions on this? Also, suggestions on improving it as much as possible. I have preordered the Destiny PS4 and also booked time off work, will not be happy if I can't play lol.

Ultimately, this is something directly in control by your ISP (internet service provider). You can test you ping using [url=http://www.speedtest.net/]speedtest[/url] and seeing where the performance is at and what server it's connecting too. Bungie hasn't laid out "minimum" requirements to play Destiny as far as connection speed, they only list a Broadband Connection is required. I'd recommend contacting your ISP to see if there is anything you can do to improve your connection,.

1 ReplyAnother consideration to take into account here is your using satellite. No matter how much data it can upload and download you are still limited by the speed of light. Specifically the speed that it takes packet to get from your location, up to the satellite, and back down to earth. Which think adds about a second of lag time to any transaction. Not a problem when surfing or downloading, however when gaming it's a big difference.
