I understand the desire to want to encourage cooperative play for raids, but damn, Bungie, you really want to lock out 90% of your player base from content you're working so hard on? Has anyone at HQ even said that out loud yet and realized it makes no sense? Love, Sincerely concerned Bungie fan

  • 1) 90% really how you get that percent? Lot of people are forming communities just to do Raids. 2) Deej said himself Bungie don't expect everybody to do it. They made it for a certain audience. 3) There is other stuff to do, raiding is a small part of the game as a whole. 4) This is how I like this content. Very few games serve a quality raiding experience anymore. Bungie looks like they are trying to make the content I want, the way I want, don't take it away from me.

    • lock out 90% of community? if it's 15% of regular players lock out i'd be shocked at how many little kids there are in this community Find 6 ppl and decide when to be online next. Sure it's a bit more dedicated than normal FPS playstyle but i'd say it's really a little thing to do

      • Nothing to see hear folks, move along. OP does not understand s/he has the ability to play a large portion of the game solo and if s/he wants to come out of the woods, stop being a hermit and play with others, they too can participate in raids.

      • Bungie feels you should have friends to spend 12+ hours with doing a raid. How many randoms will stay through the whole Raid? Even if you make it to a check point how many randoms you just played with would return when you wanted to complete the raid? You cant just post to a ton of Randoms saying "I am at Checkpoint one want to join my raid" the next day and continue on your merry little way with new random players. In one of the interviews the words of "They all would have to continue" hints that the raid team you start with has to finish it. Or you just play the first part over and over and never finish a single raid. Making friend in game and on the forums is easy. already have 30 people I have added to my Xbox live friends list.

      • I think creating a sub forum specifically for raids would help alleviate this issue. To go a step further, there probably needs to be a console specific section. This could be a gathering place for those looking to try to get people together for creating raid teams. I know this is not a perfect solution and not the solution many want to hear, but I think it would go a long way towards helping many players organize themselves and promote the community aspect of raiding together.

      • First off, 90% is an over exaggerated number. Secondly, everyone has the capability of doing a raid. Just add random people you come across. Use forums etc. While everyone has access to the raid technically, not everyone CAN do the raid. Its meant to reward the skilled and dedicated.

Anyone can raid here's how - start a group and arrange a Raid party - join a group and participate in a Raid party - invite 5 friends on PSN or XBL to Raid - make 5 friends on PSN or XBL and Raid - invite randoms in the tower to Raid There's five ways, I bet you can think of more. Go on pull your Raidin' pants on and try one of these, you'll be glad you did ;)

        • It's a little more like 48 percent of people want matchmaking in raids so don't worry within 6 months to a year it will be implemented once the next raid is released

Cant have everything handed to you on a silver platter, go out and form a raiding party. Also just so you know, I believe it has been confirmed that there will be no way points while in the raid. Good luck ;]

          • I see your point. I think the biggest issue with people wanting MM is that there is zero in-game communication. People don't want to jump through hoops to form a raid, when it should be able to be formed in-game with a looking for raid channel or such.
