Lost All Interest In Destiny Because I Can't Get Ghost Edition (Does anyone else feel this way?)
I know this may be really stupid and weird but ever since i realized there was this amazing ghost edition with awesome stuff all about Destiny I had to get it. But after search tirelessly for places to pre order and literally driving to local retailers such as best buy, walmart, target, and gamestop to see if I had any luck preordering in person I was not able to get my preorder in. After realizing that after the ghost edition gets released that the price of it on amazon and ebay will go up passed $200 I gave up hope of ever having this wonderful ghost edition and canceled my regular destiny preorder because I felt like I wouldn't enjoy destiny anymore without this ghost edition and its beautiful destiny content.
I just wanted to know if anyone else felt like this because after talking to my xbox live buddies it seems like I'm the only one who felt like they wouldn't enjoy destiny and won't play it after not being able to pre order it. I was looking forward so much to this game for more than a year! And now i can't even stand the sight of the word destiny because I couldn't get a ghost edition. Please tell me that I'm not alone in this and that I'm not crazy.

3 RepliesSeems to me that with very little effort you could 3D print your own ghost replica and then get whatever else you need at Target. (Kleenex, hand lotion, season 1 of Game of Thrones)

I was able to revive this dead ghost (for the original retail price) from Amazon on Sept 8th :) Now my collection is complete!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I didn't think anyone would see this let alone reply to it. I posted this out of anger because for amazing games I like to have an amazing display for it when I stop playing it like the halo reach legendary edition. I was just sad and angry at the moment. The next day I said Im being an idiot and preordered the Digital Guardian Edition and I played Destiny for 24 hours straight when it came out. One thing I'd love to know from you guys is how you found my post?

It's literally a toy and paperwork :)

They're nice on a shelf, but as soon as you have to move you wish you didn't have all this extra crap to cart around, heh. Honestly though, if you can't enjoy the game for what it is, then you probably can't enjoy it at all.

1 ReplyThis makes absolutely no sence what so ever.. There is no extra content from the ghost edition other then the ghost skin and the figurine.. (If you compair the limited edition with the ghost edition ofc). Canceling your pre order becuase of it is beyond my reach of understanding.. If you would have pre ordered it sooner (before announching the limited editions) your retailer would have called you asking if you had any interest in upgrading your pre order. To bad you where to late with getting your ghost edition but i can't think of a reason to cancel your pre order becuase of it

I only saw one ghost edition at my local gamestop, you really didn't miss out for a 2.99 cent piece of plastic...the LE is beautiful and well done...the ghost crate also looked fairly small

I guarantee you there will be some other ghost models (obviously not this exclusive one sure) created in the future. And it will collect dust within 3 weeks of acquisition at best. Now if the ghost was a light up alarm clock that also synced with the game as a portable speaker of sorts that could maybe warn you when enemies are hiding or loot chests might be around...sharper image style, you might have a leg to stand on, but having your experience ruined cause you couldn't pay 50 dollars for a toy that repeats the same quotes over and over along with some patches and stickers that look like ads for the Russian space program, no you don't have a leg to stand on. Not one.

Just settled for SGE. No tax, good price (I get the game, Expansion pass, and more extras for $5 less than getting the Expansion Pass and Game separate), can play at midnight, and I get everything I'll actually use more than once a month.

That really makes no sense.. it's only a couple items extra and you can get almost all the digital content with a digital guardian edition that you can sill get on the Xbox store. A couple physical things or some content you only get somewhat early access to is no reason to give up on an amazing game [spoiler] ps I'm getting the ghost edition but I'd still get Destiny if that weren't the case. It's worth it [/spoiler]

Then I saw amazon has ghost 360 editions for sale , and well I know someone who would love the game and expansion pass. So I ordered it and am gifting the game and pass from the ghost edition to them. I'll be putting the destiny game from the ps4 bundle in it. They still have some 360 versions left if your serious about wanting a ghost
