Voted yes ;)

Im over 17 so absolutely yes. Although this problem should rectify itself when the current generation starts reproducing and finally take an intrest in what their children play. The biggest problem imo is these tweeners parents who still think all video games are nintendo and call of duty is just the new mario game. I make it my buisness when im at gamestop and a parents buying a game like cod or bf to tell them that games for adults. Had a couple kids actually break into full on temper tantrum and tears and their parents made them leave with nothing. I am glad stores like gamestop at least dont allow games to be sold to minors and try to inform parents about what their buying, well the good gamestops anyways.

but but im 16.. and im mature, MENTALLY

I would vote yes but this would screw me over......but seriously most kids couldn't hurt you, only relentlessly insult with unoriginal middle school "your mom" "jokes"

And heres my little added discussion to the mission statement. As a fan of video games I see, or rather hear, barely pubescent children screaming into games that were specifically made for an adult audience. These games have graphic violence and adult situations which in the majority of situations I am positive the parents know nothing about. Would you allow your 13 year old child to play a game that glorifies killing police or soldiers? These parents use these games as a means to just keep their children docile at home while unleashing them on a user base which uses constant bad language racist and homophobic remarks, none of this taken into account by the ratings board. If these parentswere to make an informed decidion about what their children did while playing these games surely they would never allow them to play online again. Would you allow your child access to unfiltered and unmonitored internet access? Of course not so why would you allow them to play adult games, this trend needs to stop. Thank you Mr. President.

There is a reason that a thing such as the ESRB exists...
-
Can we petition the rating board to re-rate destiny AO so we can really keep the kids out, trolls too, I hate those damn trolls.
-
You used a fake name. Interesting.
-
Can we petition to ban Longface?
Please?
No valid points. So no.

People really need to stop with this "video games are bad" illusion. It's getting out of hand. People are just so dull sometimes.
-
It's a good call but we really need to target parents that don't pay attention to the rating. I stopped two parents from buying GTA for their 12 year old son. Until parents step up and notice ratings are there for a reason we will continue to have issues.
-
The one thing we seriously need to do is Stop with the bullshit of a console war, For example: if you like a game then just get it for the platform you have or want to get it for and stop with the "which ones better?" Bullshit.

Edited by M100100100M: 8/24/2014 6:43:11 AMNo need to make it illegal. Just have the parent/s do a better job of what they allow their children to have access to.

Well, what I really think is that we need to stop " the games are bad for kids " thing. It's true that we don't want our kids to see explicit sexual content. In order to prevent that, you can just ask the retailer if such scenes exist in the game. But certain studies proved that the Gamers reflexes are better, that we can hear better. So it's not necessary bad. As for the violence, I play games since I was like 4 years old, it doesn't affect you, it really depends on how efficient you can explain to the kid that the video games are not real. ( P.S. I don't have kids, I just tried to get in the boots of the people who do have kids )

I saw a petition to implement the judicial system from judge dredd on the same site. Something tells me no one actually looks at these things. Still, as always well done. 10/10

I whole kindheartedly agree with your petition.
