We've seen the pictures and the videos and we've gotten hyped and that's great... But I believe that Aang can save-- sorry. I believe these dragons are chicken scratch to what's really waiting for us, and that is a dragon boss in the Vault of Glass.
It makes sense, based on dragon lore: A massive dragon is asleep deep in a dark, dank dungeon, and heroes come through hell to get to it, in order to steal its even more massive hoard of loot.
I think all these other dragons are merely loosely dispersed babies or descendants, and we probably won't fight them. They simply serve as a reminder that there's something crazy around the corner on 9/9....

Since the vex are time traveling robots and the raid is at Venus could there be robotic dinosaurs at the end of the raid? Cause that would be amazing :D
-
If thats it i would be legen, wait for it, dary

As cool as dragons are, i hope it isnt an actual dragon. Personally i just domt think it would fit into the game, to me, it just doesnt seem right.

Destiny is just a big game of Dungeons and Dragons disguised as a sci-fi shooter. We've all been tricked.
-
If you looked up in the sky on the shores of time map in crucible you were able to see the same "dragon" thing, I'm not saying it isn't possible I'm just saying what I saw
-
As much as I wanna see dragons more often than just the end of the game content but if this was actually how it'll work and we'll just see like dragons flying around but not actually fight or get up close except during vault of glass or another raid I would not care at all that would be such an awesome way to hint.

Ailen/Vex(ish) dragons would be cool as hell

Edited by OldboyVicious: 8/22/2014 7:09:29 PMHonestly, even though this is a Sci Fi game and bungie can put in whatever they really want... dragons in Destiny seem out of place. It's like getting to the end of Halo after fighting alien hordes and then the final boss is Conan the Barbarian. I mean yeah Dragons are cool. I'll just have to see how it plays out and how they fit in to the world of Destiny.

I honestly don't even think the Dragon is a real dragon. It's probably some sick, nasty enemy type that resembles a dragon knowing the way Bungie has labeled their enemy units.

Dragon boss in the vault of glass.... epic!

I don't think that a dragon will be the final boss in the VoG based on the achievements. "Raider", "Raiding Party" and "Epic Raider" require you to complete a raid, complete a raid with a full fireteam consisting of only your clan members and complete a raid on hard difficulty respectively. There's another achievement, "Dragon Slayer", Kill a champion of the dark. Maybe there is one or more dragons in the VoG, but based on the achievements I doubt it will be the final boss.

You are on the right track...

Yeah!
