People are complaining that the game is much smaller than we expected. Not as many guns or Armour as expected. But do you really think Bungie would even open more than 10 percent of the game in the beta? I think some of you are going to be shocked by the scale of this game. Bungie has even gon as far as to say everybody will have unique weapons and Armour. Thats alot of -blam!-ing gear.
If you don't believe it, watch the 2014 GDC video where they show you the tools they use to create weapons and armour. They can make a completely new piece of armour in like an hour. Where as it probably take most developers 4 times that.

Preach it Brotha! I cannot WAIT for launch day!!!!! This game is gonna be EPIC!!!!!!!
-
Whoa whoa whoa- you want us to wait until we experience the game before storming the internet with complaints and ideas for improvements and lamentation threads about how let down we are...
noob
-
You should post a link to video But man I can't agree more I'm so excited for the game. Thank goodness for diablo cause my ps4 was getting dusty
-
No you will be shocked at how right all the haters are when you beat the game in an afternoon
-
I think some of you are underestimating...
Fixed that for ya. No charge. You're quite right though. So much bitching, so little attention to detail.
-
10%? Hell I'd be surprised if that was more than 2% - 5%.
-
Here's the video he was talking about guys!
-
Holy crap...this blew my mind!
-
I an over estimating if anything lol

You know, I don't like herpes so I go out of may way to avoid it. The same logic should be applied to games people don't like.
-
WHOA! Did I see a Titan holding what looks to be a flamethrower? Go to 29:40 and see what I mean.

Edited by SaferMurderweapon: 8/22/2014 11:37:18 PMAnyone who has fully explored the moon in the beta, I ask you how big was it? Note: I know that The Moon wasn't fully explorable in the beta. I meant to say fully explore what was in the beta.
urk said the moon is the smallest destination in Destiny.
Meh, even IF the world is as small as people think it would be, I got 23 hours logged in the beta and even missed a few events. So getting my money worth in gametime will be no issue on release.
-
I have a feeling they under represented the game's massiveness so on launch day we will be super surprised. But that's just me being optimistic.
-
I agree ithink the beta was hust a itsy-bitsy piece of this game.

Edited by ShizRizGrizDiz: 8/21/2014 9:32:32 AMDont forget, with the game always being online they can also update new gear frequently if they wanted to. I just love how the game is all online, makes it impossible for anyone to cheat/mod. Which is why i think they made it all online so that whey people can enjoy the game without worries of modded crap always ruining games. Because its their servers you have to access, you would have to hack their system to mod anything. But the instant someone tries to, Bungie will catch em and lay the banhammer >:D
-
I have a theory that the beta was actually the entire game, and bungie has taken all of our money and moved to Mexico.
-
Dude I thought someone hacked my account and made this post for a sec hahaha
-
I'm prepared for the worst and hope for the best! But if I can have a lot of fun with the Beta I'm sure the final version will be amazing.
-
Lol, that's what I was saying before Reach released... Look how that turned out.

tiger-man dlc xD

I find it hilarious how people judge the game size by a beta. It is such a logical approach. I mean we obviously explored venus and mars, we obviously played the vault not to mention all the strikes and daily events, we obviously know the lvl cap after 20, we obviously experienced all nightfall missions as well as all story missions etc. And we all know the traveler is fake because the purple ball is the real thing, We look at the traveler but the purple ball is working in shadows behind our backs. This game has nothing on COD. I will enjoy that 2hour campaign in COD more than destiny which is too small and has nothing to offer + it has way too many immature folk playing as the hunter whereas COD has all those mature people plaing well as a team and COD has competitive player vs player. Destiny has that too although it isn't very competitive. To conclude things COD is better in EVERY aspect of this half-game called Destiny... Now then lets see those kind and non-offensive replies.

One explorable node per planet. 4 planets at release. Sounds like 10%.

I think you'll be able to race through the story if you want, bungie said it had about 15 hours of story missions, but the fun is going to be from exploring, I wasn't able to go to the moon, but from what I've seen of the new videos bungie has released it looks like Earth and the moon are the two smallest levels, and there's still areas that we weren't able to explore on both Earth and the moon. I don't think any of the zones will be as large as skyrim, but I think the combined area of them all will be larger. And since it is online, they could constantly update the game with new weapons and gear. Only 2 and a half more weeks then we'll know for sure.
-
Great video. Thanks. I seem to not be able to get enough information about destiny...
-
Deej said that once you complete a mission the area to explore gets larger.
