How about we have some wildlife? Like maybe some animals from the future (the Mutated ones!) or just normal animals OR BOTH! Lol we could go hunting and stuff or tame them to ride off into the sunset. Or just totally ignore this and leave. OR vote for no animals. well guys! Have a jolly good day! MrBoss Out.

they all died when everyone else invaded the earth, the end of 99.9% of animal life.
-
get the feeling we dont see animals cause all them fallen gotta eat something
-
If humans barely survived whatever happened on earth, most animals probably didn't make it.
-
So far I've seen: Crows / ravens Dragonflies Hawks, maybe vultures. They fly pretty high up so I haven't gotten a good look at them I'm honestly surprised we haven't run into feral cats, dogs or horses. My guess is that most animals aren't considered relevant to the game so they're just not there. The ravens at least were included to provide warning that you're not alone. Not sure about the dragonflies and hawks unless they're going to turn out to be camouflaged robotic spies or something.
-
Theirs that dragon on the shores of time lol
-
I voted for both mutated and normal animals
-
Mutated? I think evolved to adapt to the world changes less predictors would make herbivores bigger and stranger looking, I think that having wildlife is an amazing idea I hope to see it in future destiny games.
-
That wouldn't make any sense. All animals are dead because they have been exterminated by the fallen and such, the same way humans have.

Edited by Kurupter: 8/19/2014 9:14:24 AMNeed to look at my gameplay again, but might have seen a bird, but large wildlife would stay away from Warzone areas. Continuous fighting between the Fallen, Hive, and us Guardians make large amounts of noise. Like our cities, wildlife stays away for the most part, but hearing gunshots, explosions, and alien creatures making large amounts of noise will halt any animal from visiting. Including Nova bombs thown, Fists of Havoc shaking the ground, and Guns of pure light exterminating anything it hits will strike more fear to any animal increasing our dominance in the food chain. You think any deer will dare to stroll into Old Russia at war. The deer is either on crack, or tied on the front of a Redneck Guardian Speeder.

Why not Zoidberg ?

Edited by Auriventris: 8/19/2014 12:04:47 PMThe Consoles are already being pushed with how gorgeous the game is, Adding Wildlife and there Scripting could potentially drop the FPS lower then 30, I'm sure we could fit a few here and there but it would not be enough to even be noticeable by most people.
-
Yes yes, we can hunt them and eat them, yes
-
Yea, cause I'm sure the wildlife are just crazy to hang out with the aliens THAT ARE everywhere. large wildlife wouldn't make sense since there so much activity everywhere from teh fallen, the hive, etc. and ther ARE small wildlife.
-
Besides the "lore" or actual reasons there are no large wildlife, I do not support it for a different reason. Development resources I do not want the limited resources of my PS4 to be spent on wildlife, I'd rather have larger fire teams, big team battles and better mics/comms system. Is rather the game run smoother and better with no wildlife that slower and clunkier and have wildlife.

Normal and muted animals sound great.
-
Mutated and normal... Could open some fun rare hunts for glimmer or somethin. Cool lil side quests maybe. Maybe even have them attack fallen the same as players. That could be a bit of a strategy.
-
There are wildlife stupid ass BIRDS :D
-
Life cannot happen on any planet. The Darkness made it inhospitable dude. Why do u think you need your helmet?

I remember way back in the pre-Xbox days, when bungie showed their original halo demo for the Mac, there was wildlife roaming the halo ringworld But that idea bit the dust for some reason, and it wasn't until, I think, halo reach that wildlife was finally introduced in a finished game, albeit very limited So if the tech can handle it, I imagine bungie might re-introduce the idea, especially as in destiny there were a few birds in the sky above the cosmodrome, and small gnats or insects buzzing around
-
It would be cool but maybe to big to put in the game
-
I seriously doubt all life is gone. They have to be eating something, and I SERIOUSLY doubt they all went Vegan. They have to have some form of meat to keep the guardians firing on all cylinders.
-
Seem pretty pointless to me, you won't take notice of them. Okay yourll kill em, but be nothing more than a waste of time in my opinion
-
There needs to be some kind of sustainable food sources. No wildlife means no food.

*reads thread title We'd run them over *leaves thread

Yes Both! The land was so empty in the Beta it was sad.
