Introductions and Alliances
Well folks, we are getting closer and closer to the big release day of[b] Destiny[/b], and of course, our little roleplaying forum [b][i]BECOMING LEGEND[/i][/b]. As such, I figure it would be prudent to take a moment and introduce ourselves to one another. Roleplaying is an excellent way to form lasting relationships and entertaining discussions, so let's start that here. Share a little about yourselves: Your preferred class, any character or roleplaying/plot ideas you've come across, destinations in the Solar System you really want to see, and heck, maybe even your time zone in the Real World so you can find folks closer to your schedule to Fireteam up with at full release.
On the flip side, for our followers or members who have not yet decided to join our clan, feel free to introduce yourselves as well. All will be welcome on the forum, including non-followers. Heck, I'm even betatesting rules for roleplayers who cannot play the console game, but would love to make a Destiny Character, so even if you're not going to buy the game, feel free to join the conversation. And if you are part of another Clan or Group, by all means, feel free to request an Alliance; allies are as welcome as Clanmates here.

Well i've seen everyone else intro so I am going put mine out there it may not be as long but I am going to put some effort into it! Hi everyone I am Zidos, I am a pretty experienced roleplayer on many games like Star Wars the old republic, D&D I currently play a lot of that with friends from high school and current friends in college, I roleplay right here on Destiny as well! More than anything I just love to have a fun time on games with friends, I'm looking forward to playing with each and every one of you! Looking for the hardcore roleplayers in here!

9 RepliesEdited by Last Omnitect: 8/17/2014 7:16:21 AMI figure I should probably break the ice myself: Hello folks, I'm [b]the Last Omnitect.[/b] I'm an guy who lives in the Eastern Standard Time Zone of the US, and a Destiny Enthusiast [i](as if founding and running a Roleplaying Clan on here wasn't proof enough of that)[/i]. I'm actually studying to become an Illustrator, specialize in science fiction and fantasy work, and love drawing. This may or may not lead to random sketches and art of our various characters and adventures appearing in the OOC:General Chat section of the RPing forum, as well as occasionally on here too. I have been roleplaying for over a decade now, both forum and tabletop, and spent much of that time GMing. I've actually also been working on a roleplaying game\universe of my own design for the past ten years, which I'm hoping to flesh out into a career opportunity for myself down the road. As far as Destiny goes, I'm in love with the Warlock class, and plan on running two of them [i](one Voidwalker and one Firesinger)[/i] and a Titan for my third slot. I'm looking forwards to Roleplaying with them, especially my Human Voidwalker, whom will be my primary character in Destiny, and probably in Becoming Legend as well. I can't wait to see all the worlds, though I particularly want to see Mercury's gardens and the Academy on Venus. And most importantly, I can't wait to meet some of you and see what your characters are going to do!

Good morning everyone. I'm Butch, and if you're wondering why I'm talking about the morning when it's clearly not, that's because I'm sitting at home on the bottom of the world in Auckland, New Zealand (NZDT, UTC +12) where it's currently tomorrow for all you US types. Greetings from the future! All is well. Don't eat that dodgy burrito. You'll regret it in the morning. So a little about me, as relates to the subjects at hand. I'm pretty green really. I haven't done any roleplaying for a long time, my last experiences being tabletop with AD&D and Star Wars RPGing in the mid 90s. I drifted away from all of that after high school, but I still have a few embers of imagination burning back there somewhere. I came upon the Curators whilst feeding my addiction for Destiny lore, and am quite taken with the idea of interacting with the Destiny world in this way. Obviously I have no experience with RPing on forums, so I'll be finding my feet a bit to begin with, but fortunately I've got all of you to help me with that, right? I've been following Destiny since Bungie have been allowed to talk about it. I've drifted away from gaming over the last 7-8 years, aside from the odd brief flirtation with specific titles that have caught my fancy. I essentially missed the entire last generation of consoles, after my original xbox died in 2006 or so. Thats all about to change, I've got a shiny new PS4 (gamer tag El_Butch, lets get amongst it) and I'm ticking down the days to 9/9. I've been a fan of Bungie since my brother invited me into the computer science labs at Otago University in the mid-90s to play 8 player Marathon death matches, and I've been really captivated by this world that they've created. I'm reserving judgement on any choices I make regarding characters to role-play in the Destiny universe until after the game is released and I've got some more time playing it, I believe there is just so much about this world that we don't know yet that is going to influence these decisions. That said, if I had to pick one class RIGHT NOW, it'd be a Hunter, because a nonchalantly thrown blade to a fallen forehead in between shots has got style, and I'm all about style. I look forward to meeting and sharing time with you all. Adventure is afoot.

Better late that never, I suppose. Hello, I am Barudovich. Davidicus Barudovich. Or just Dave for short. I have conquered many Civilizations in my time, namely 1 through 5 so far until that pesky Beyond Earth is released for us lowly Mac folk, and have explored many worlds through out the galaxy. In a few days time, I return to the Sol System to begin a new journey - perhaps the most important journey yet. Of course, when I am not eradicating Reapers or battling The Covenant, I call university life home - my vehicle to the stars of imagination and wonderment. That is to say, the life of the student is one of labor and of love, if you can dig it. This is to further say that, at times that vehicle takes me far away from the comforts of life (i.e. electricity, the tele, and that good ol' vintage PS3) and recreation. But I am excited to be a part of this community! During the Beta I primarily played as an Exo Warlock, and I anticipate that I will be resurrecting his remnants to start anew in just a few days time. I look forward to Becoming Legend with all of you. Mostly, I look forward to doing something I have dreamed about since I was a child: explore the Solar System. Also, Butch, you live in a beautiful country (as though I have to tell [i]you [/i]that)! I have visited three times, and never wanted to leave. Although, the U.S. is pretty cool too. Cheers!

Hey, folks, my Bungie ID is TierceAndVinh, partially to make up for the fact that we can't name our characters in-game. I also go by CatImperative, which is my XBox Live Gamertag. I hail from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the United States, the last free bastion of rural life against the creeping dominion of NoVA. I'm a longtime roleplayer, but a first-time console owner; my only other serious console experience has come from the Halo and Halo 2 LAN parties that were the highlight of my high school experience. Ah, to have those days back again... As implied by my username, my current 'main' is likely to be Tierce, a human Warlock who I've imagined as a Sunsinger, but whose story can accomodate changes in class and playstyle depending on what I like. Tierce is not naturally a warrior; before the Collapse, he was an economist and philosopher, which in a post-scarcity society amounts to similar things. His ability to see patterns, not his martial skill, is what brought the Traveller's light to him... though he's quickly brushing up on his gunplay through practice and necessity. Tierce is intended to be Captain America the Warlock, fiercely proud of humanity and the Lost City and willing to give anything to keep it safe, though his story has a lot of potential play and darker paths it could take. His companion Ghost is Vinh, who's adopted a female voice and mannerisms after communion with a fellow Ghost revealed that a female demeanor made Guardians more pliable (just like the Enterprise central computer!). Vinh is doing her best to cultivate Tierce's bravery and fighting skills while attempting to figure out where she fits in the Traveller's last, desperate plan. I have character concepts on the back burner for an Awoken Titan who is a guard and staunch supporter of the Queen of the Reef, a modern-day sidhe knight, and an Exo Bladedancer who seeks to understand life through the medium of art. Any art. Sometimes bad art. However, they'll remain background characters until Tierce is well on his way, or unless I want to dip into a different playstyle. Not having had time to play the beta, I'm not 100% sure which will be the best fit, though Warlock in both flavors looks damn good.

2 RepliesGood afternoon, my name is Dolittle and I am from Texas. I wanted to briefly introduce myself. It's wonderful to find a group of people and fellow Guardians so interested in the lore of Destiny. While I've never role played, I believe I have a love of lore such as your own. Like many of you, I've been a fan of Bungie for nearly 15 years, and more often than not it's their ability to create a living, breathing, lush universe that's kept me coming back. I've read all but about four of the Halo books and all but three (I think) of the comics. The story and cooperative experience is what I love. I am beyond excited to explore our solar system in an intimate manner, to unlock the secrets of those before, and to defend our Home with fellow Guardians such as yourselves. I have three ideas for characters I'd like to create, with names associated for each even though Bungie has announced we cannot name them individually. I'm not sure if we'll be able to join the in-game clans / factions but I listed the ones I'd partner with specifically for each character. Awoken Warlock, Seven Seraphs, named Saeldur [pronounced Sile-dur] (Dallas in Elvish, meaning wise). Human Hunter, Dead Orbit, named Errol (meaning to wander). Exo Titan, Future War Cult, named Gunner. I have my own clan, Adamas Veritas, which is a Greek and Latin word meaning "Unconquerable Truth." I have lore behind that you're free to check out on my clan's page. It's not long. While I don't know that I'll be able to rp on your forum, and unfortunately our clans cannot form an Alliance because we have our own, as I've talked with the Last Omnitect, I hope to continue interacting and fostering community amongst our two clans. I'll be playing on PS4 and I would love to join any and all of you in Strikes and Raids, and in further discovering the great unknown that is the Traveler. My PSN ID is DevilDogDolittle.
