So about the Vault of Glass difficulity

When D3 first came out, the months before was all the talk of how no one could guess how many months it would take for people to clear inferno. A month of constant crying from 90% of the community and boom it was dumbed down to the point to where anyone could clear it. And because of that, the game grew dull and lost a lot of its player base in a hurry. (Well that and many other underwhelming reasons.) This Vault of Glass reminds me of the same concept. All talk of how hard it is, and will be, and how long it will take to be cleared. I really hope it isn't dumbed down just like Diablo was due to all the whiners wanting the loot right away and not having to actually work for it. To the 0-1 of you Bungie people that may actually read this, please for the love of all that is good in this world, don't cave in to cry babies who do not want to work for shit. I want to enjoy a challenge not be thrown into another loot pinata of a game and be burned out in 2 months -_-

      • I really wish that this would be true, but that sad fact of gamers these day is that a majority of them are little kids or fanboys who think they should be super OP at level one. They dont know the love and joy of spending 80 hours to beat a hard rpg, and because of that they will always whine to get what shit easy, and because there is so many of them most companies will be feared into listening :/

            • I have faith in Bungie and look forward to the challenge of the raids. I agree that easy raids would quickly bore me. I'm also a little concerned their idea of challenging may be time consuming bullet sponges which is boring. Despite Bungie's experience raids are new ground for them.

Diablo 3 died because everything was wrong in the game:, items, loot, boss, skill tree, always online, no stats, story.... They nerf inferno = dumbed down ? The game was dumbed down from the start, Diablo 3 was made for CONSOLE not PC and they are still trying to FIX the game today. INFERNO mode was simply retarded, you had to spent countless hours in a stupid Auction House to get the best gear and for that you need to farm, killing Diablo or any boss in hell simply gave you 3 white and 4 blues .... there was no farm in Diablo 3 and every "exploit" were getting nerf. Inferno mode was so freaking retarded that mobs simply one shot you for 100k damage when u have 5k~hp. There is HARD like games as Demon's Souls / Dark Souls / Dark Souls 2 , where you learn from your mistake and adapt .... to impossible like Diablo 3 inferno-[b]kite [/b]mode You are comparing Diablo 3 with an other game ... when you have no clue why Diablo 3 and the community react. Most misleading and bullshit post I have ever seen in #Destiny, Congrats! TL;DR Inferno mode was impossible to do, Solo or full group with the best gear in the game., get out with your bullshit! Dumb ass!

                • The only way the Vault of Glass is going to be incredibly difficult or impossible is if there is no respawn points. Otherwise, it's just a simple change in tactics when starting the next checkpoint area. It will be beaten fairly quickly. The difficulty modifier, I forgot about that. I'd say the highest setting should be near impossible, but grants you some of the best loot.

                • lets just hope it's not just filled with a bunch of bullet sponges with amped up damaged output. that is bad game design. Give me a smarter AI that learns and then you can say it's harder.

                  • Well so far Bungie seem to be pretty set on having something for everyone so fingers crossed they won't back down for the 10 year olds who get the game I am by no means a 'hardcore gamer' unless that means you play everyday in which case I am lol but still I even I am hoping 'vaults' will be balls to the wall morale crushing experiences because while I love fee long like a god diving in to battle ripping dozens of enemies apart at a time I also like to be reminded that I'm merely mortal and some tasks can only be done by the truly committed,skilled and coordinated

                    • To be fair it was two months before anyone cleared Inferno on hardcore and he did it by cheesing. On the other hand I felt proud that D3 had a nearly impossible mode, and my heart was pinched when they nerfed my sweet sweet Inferno mode...

                    • Dark souls is nothing compared to the original, Demon Souls. But the Vault of glass will be hard if Bungie says it is.

                    • Agreed. In FF:ARR they lowered drop rates and boss hp to help it go quicker. It became more burn then skill. That and people's attitudes were the main reason I left. I don't want that to happen here.

                      • um inferno was hard? i was on d within a week lol. bel was the only hard boss in inferno at launch.... the farting boss (forget the name) was actually buffed after a month or two. all that said i do agree with you and hope to god its not nerfed left and right, your comparison however is full of fail.

                        • I hope Bungie has designed Vault of Glass to be as close as they can get to true AI. There would be many self proclaimed "elite" crying that they can't rely upon repeated spawns and predictability to allow them to complete their mission. They would then begin to cry for the Nerf gun to be brought out. And while they cry some "less deserving" learn the secret that will defeat it.
