'Chest Farming' nerfing?

So as I am sure many have noticed, it is possible to go from chest spawn point to chest spawn point to create an unlimited cycle of farming glimmer and loot. In most of the other ways you can earn glimmer, it is given our fairly sparsely, so I do not think this was Bungie's intention. Being able to farm 10-20 thousand glimmer an hour seems like an exploit they wouldn't have included intentionally. Even gold chests don't give out nearly that much glimmer. I think glimmer is supposed to be somewhat rare and thus valuable. I am not trying to petition Bungie to nerf chest farming. That is entirely up to them, and it is doubtful they would do it before launch. It is more likely that would happen post launch, if ever. I am more looking for feedback on whether or not people think it is a good idea. Anyways, if chest farming were nerfed, I could see a two main ways they could do it. The first is to put all chests on the map on a timer like the shopkeepers on the Tower. Once a chest is looted, no other chests will respawn until the timer runs out. This wouldn't be difficult to do because they already do it with the shopkeepers. The second way I could see this happening is that chest do respawn, but only a limited number of times. I don't know the actual numbers behind how many chests are on a map, but imagine that there are 5 active chests on a map at a given time and 3 respawns. After 3 chests are looted, no more respawn for a given amount of time. So a maximum of 8 chests could be looted in this time. *edit: or maybe they could make it so the more recently you've searched a chest, the lower the reward on the next chest* If this is something that has been addressed already by Bungie let me know. Otherwise, let me know whether you think chest farming should be limited or if it should stay as it was in the beta. Or let me know if you don't care either way.   • They should get rid of the chests and have the mobs drop more glimmer instead. I did some farming, and it quickly becomes tedious. Kill all mobs, check all chests, repeat. (well, killing is always fun) But it is also incredible cost-effective, since you get very little glimmer from killing or dismantling loot. Putting them on a longer timer will just cause people to fight over them, and start camping spawn points. If we absolutely must have them, they should be on a personal timer, and only visible to you. But I really think it is a mistake to have the money in the game spawn as a resource, at least in these amounts. So get rid of random chests, and increase the rewards. The one-off chests should stay, they are rewards for exploring.
