So, I get that there's mixed argument on the appearance of the Warlock class item; some people think it's not extravagant enough and some people think it's just fine (I'm one of those who like it as it is).
I don't usually do this as I understand that it really is a matter of individual opinion, however I feel like it's necessary to say.
Reading some of the descriptions of class items for Hunters and Warlocks in the Beta alone you'd notice one always talks about outdoing the other: Warlocks trying to exceed the Hunters without looking like they're trying and the Hunters trying to show the Warlocks how to excel with style. I reckon that shows through their actual class items. The bond isn't flashy, it's minimalist - and it dictates what the Warlock is all about. They're not flashy. The Hunters go all-out with cloaks and hoods with eccentric designs on them.
I feel like, although I understand and totally agree that people want their Warlock to look how they'd like them to, people don't understand that this is the way a Warlock would be: not trying to look like they're going all-out like the Hunters, because they don't need to.
People have gotta remember that these are Destiny's character templates, not the player's. The player gets a design within that template.
Not hating on the Hunters or saying they try too hard to be flashy, just pointing out the friendly competitiveness between the classes.
