I mean come on, it had tigers
A co op, high fantasy game with an open world (kinda) and the customization and class system that Destiny has now? That would have been so cool. But instead we got Bungielands: Call of Halo.
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy Destiny and I'll be buying it, but the original concept was so much cooler

Rip in pieces
-
Bungie should have made a decent Halo Reach
-
you'll just have to settle for Dragon age: inquisition, shadows of mordor, and Pillars of Eternity for your fantasy fix
-
That person in the background is like, "Come at me bro!"
-
Frogblast the vent core!
-
Agreed, post this in #Destiny and feast off the butthurt.
-
They are all part of the kingdom of shrek.
-
Bungie Scrolls: Haloblivion? Sounds bad ass!!
-
Yeah. I remember seeing the concept art from back when I joined and it looked super cliche at first, yet very interesting. Now i kinda wish they stuck with the fantasy/adventure feel. I don't know what happened to that idea.
-
I hope Bungie goes back to that idea in another game. That would be really cool.

Edited by BerzerkCommando: 8/9/2014 5:13:51 PMThat concept art does look interesting. The image with the frog catches my eye more than what they ended up with. To me this Elder Scrolls/sci-fi like looking game looks a lot funner and more interesting than that Borderlands game they're making. The concept art they were showing before with those aliens and that mech didn't look interesting at all to me. Nothing about it caught my eye. Like I said the image with the frog did.

Edited by VideoGames4Life: 8/9/2014 7:13:31 PMI would love to see more games like destiny come out
-
Wait, what?!
-
It sure looked cool.
-
I'll be honest, I'm afraid this trend will continue. Too often are game devs showing off assets like concept art and pre-alpha footage for the games own good. In order to stop falling short of expectations they need to go back to simply showing what the game looks like in action during Alpha builds and older. I still love what I played in the Destiny Beta and the final retail version is yet to be played but I will admit that I think the game won't live up to the expectations set up from the early stuff shown.
-
You don't know what will be lurking in the depths of the full game (;
-
Edited by Ilogical Logic: 8/9/2014 9:19:59 PMpls, destiny is not a bungie version of borderlands.
-
The giant toad would have been awesome but hopefully Destiny will at least have some flying narwhals.
-
Monster Hunter????
-
I like how Destiny turned out, but after seeing this concept art it's pretty obvious they decided to play it safe by turning it into a futuristic FPS. They just stayed in their comfort zone I guess.
-
True, it is hard to find a fantasy MMO. :/
-
Start the petition now!!! We want destiny part 1 to end in our total failure. Only for destiny part 2 to end up in this fantasy world( space magic ftw) as the earth is reborn.
-
Edited by Moonknight : 8/9/2014 11:30:18 PMIt would be cool for the second destiny to take place throughout the galaxy and taking the fight to the home worlds of the enemies both old and new.
-
I see they put hypno toad in there!
-
Tiger/desert pic looks awesome
-
Edited by Sacred: 8/9/2014 11:42:10 PMInstead they decided to play it safer for another 10 years. Hmmzzz I dont think any dev team should do anything for ten years, how do they keep it fresh and keep the developers imagination and will to push the boundaries?
